All good, thank you. I got the rig working with no issues, although now the bow, arrows, and quiver have no textures while everything else does. I did not touch where any file goes, so it’s not that.

Commenting again because I really wanted a response for my last comment that was 3 months ago—I really wanted to use the model but am not sure if I will accidentally reproduce whatever made my issue happen.

So Maya is usually not my friend, but I am having issues with this that are completely new. When I first opened this model, I correctly followed the steps of this and referenced all of the models separately in when one didn't work, but all of them were either all white or all black, the body and other attachables were white or gray and the hair (+eyebrows) was black, or everything was a shadowless gray. At first, a workspace file could only be opened if the "workspace.mel" file was moved to the Mesh folder, but then a new file with the same name gets created by itself in the same folder, possibly confusing Maya. Reversing normals did not fix this, just kept the entire model colorless.

For some reason, all the textures correctly loaded in on zelda_V001_008.ma (sometimes the correct hair color shows, other times no depending on if I touch a node in the Outliner?) but not on zeldaSkel_V001_008.ma, zeldaSkelNoProps_V001_008.fbx, or zeldaSkel_V001_008.fbx at all. Either way, I cannot move the model without the hair flashing from blonde to featureless black and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here.zeldaSkel_V001_008.ma FILE WEIRD TEXTURES

Also the only file (zeldaSkel_V001_008.ma) that gives me this warning. I am on Maya 2026.
