Thank you for the thorough review. I’m really glad the theme was well received; it’s certainly the thing I focused on the most. A couple of specific points:

  • The instructions are scrollable, and there are a few more panels that explain all the mechanics + inputs, including how volatility and stability are scored as well as the lose condition. Read them over and play again; there are three different endings actually! This one is probably on me though; I could’ve made a more prominent scroll bar or different layout all together.
  • Visuals can definitely be improved. Ironically, I added the starry background to the game scene at the end of the project even though I had decided earlier in the project to omit it. But I found the pure black background to be unappealing.
  • I didn’t know how to spell anomaly until halfway through the project. The actual source files are still named anamoly (with A before O). 🙃

A fun, relaxing game. Very much the opposite of mine. :D I found movement to be a bit slow; perhaps doubling/tripling the speed would be effective or adding more prominent reference points in the background.

Interesting concept for a game ; very modern, and a little meta. :D

You're a trooper for making a game that's likely all control nodes in Godot; I've never worked with a system that's frustrated me more (at least in recent memory). I like the layout; it gives me web portal vibe which is usually how many of these human moderation systems work, so +1 for realism.

One UI bug(?) I've noticed in your game and others made in Godot is that not all unicode characters appear correctly but rather as a boxed unicode character number. Could be a web browser thing?

Well rounded game with great polish! I think this has potential to become a full game.

Thanks for playing! I’ll definitely be pushing a couple of changes once voting is over for the jam.

Glad you enjoyed the story! As for what to do… if you’re talking about the bosses that appear in Assessment, you’re supposed to attack them a bunch which will cause them to explode after they take enough damage; unfortunately I didn’t have time to add visual feedback to them. :( If you’re talking about the basic mechanics, check out the in-game tutorial!

Unfortunately, the game crashed upon meeting my first customer. That said, this game is funny as fk. Great sense of humor.

Camera, movement, controls, sound, and gameplay are all wonderful. Obviously a good game made by a skilled maker.

This game kinda hard ngl. There's definitely strategy to it that I was not prepared for. lol

I do love me a nice gamble, and this game has that. Something so exhilarating about making it back with just enough oxygen to share.

Fun platformer I grooved out to the whole time. Definitely a game that could get people in the flow state.

On controller, I would maybe consider moving slide to right trigger; it seems like a more natural button than having to swap between A + B.
