The author has mentioned on their Tumblr that the currently listed poly pairings are not final and are subject to change, though I don't know if that's what OP is referring to

They answered this three years ago with: "The Android version is given to Patrons over a certain tier as a value add and a thank you. Sorry for the dissapointment and I hope you understand! The funds from Patreon allows me to continue developing and sharing Infinite Stars for free." So it's just to have something extra to offer to people subscribed to their Patreon
Yes, a "Kinetic Visual Novel" is a visual novel with no choices. It's not a book, it's a visual novel, which is still by definition a game if there are no choices to be made. If the meaning of something is tripping you up, I would recommend looking it up to learn something new instead of insulting the creator over your own misunderstanding.
Looking at your comment history, you have that issue with multiple different Twine games. The issue is on your end, not theirs. Downloading the game works because it's no longer a file hosted on the internet trying to access your browser information remotely, it's just a file stored on your computer.
Idrelle Games made a post addressing some common errors; yours is number one: https://idrellegames.itch.io/wayfarer/devlog/316300/troubleshooting-game-launch-...
The author has said you can romance Milo and Malcolm individually, but they will still be in a relationship with eachother. I don't know if it's a path they just haven't gotten around to yet like the purely platonic path (I haven't tried it myself, I'm perfectly happy with another rare case of a genuine poly route), but unless they've changed their mind, the option was not removed. Unless you mean cutting Milo and Malcolm apart entirely so it's not even a v-poly; in that case I don't believe there's ever going to be any intention of that
Ren'Py is more for visual novels. If you're just doing regular text-based stories, I'd recommend sticking with Twine. You can do normal text-only stories in Ren'py, especially with NVL-Mode, but Twine is lighter and can be simpler to learn for people starting out with the programming side of things.
I see this is old, but in case someone stumbles on this and still needs the answer-- hit the icon on the left to get the indicator moving on the bar, then hit the icon on the right when the indicator is in the middle of the bar (between the icons). That's what MC alludes to when she says you can't do it "too early or too late" before the mini-game starts
Hello! I've hit a bug with one of the lore objects, specifically when unlocking the diary lore entry after the scene where you cheer up Lebeny/Kiaria. The error says [ OSError: Couldn't find file 'images/lore/e_02_005_diary.png'. ]. I was able to Rollback and it let me continue with the story, and the 'lore' page works perfectly fine with the image displayed properly. Thank you so much for all the hard work you guys are doing, I've found myself playing through this game multiple times now. I've gotten attached to this crew and their story isn't even finished yet.
[slight edit for clarity]
I usually have to drag the downloaded app into "Applications," then control+click the icon. It'll say it doesn't trust the origin of the file, but there should be an 'open' option anyways. It might take a couple tries to get it to show, but it's always worked for me so long as it's in "Applications" and not "Downloads." I'm sorry if that still doesn't work for you :(
