haha thanks for the reply :))) there is no fixed purpose to the game, just try to eliminate all the enemies and get higher score :)

You should roll the move dice before you can move, press q. If that doesn't work it may be a bug then and i will fix it. You can move as many squares as the number on the move dice(the blue one). Controls are in the description on itch.io page of the game
