Thanks! Yeah, you're right about the skill ceiling, I haven't even reached it myself yet. I'm still not able to beat the highest AI settings.

The AI used to make the animations stutter when it ran, so I just delayed it. The delay could probably be less, though, I'll see if I can reduce it. Also, why do you think it's janky?

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it.

I've played a few rounds. Very interesting take on Balatro - I don't think I've seen any Balatro-likes use non-math skills yet.

  • I had fun with the game.
  • Right now, I think it's too hard. I feel a little stuck.
  • I finished 4 games, until the end (lost them all).
  • I did not do anything with the bounty system. They seemed like things that would happen naturally in the game anyway.
  • The shop is fine. Easy to navigate, good amount of items.
  • The tutorial is good, but I am a bit familiar with games like this already.
  • The next move seemed to involve a lot of guesswork.
  • I do not like the music at all, and thought it was annoying, so I turned it off.

I think you have a very promising game. I already enjoyed it despite the punishing difficulty.

This game looks fun (and probably addicting), but it's very poorly explained. You only explain the scoring system, and not the actual rules! I had to look up what a 'Farkle' is, and I don't know why it doesn't accept some dice as singles. Which is a shame, because apart from that, the game seems very accessible, with intuitive controls.

The luckiest rat in the world...
