there’s no way to rename cats, and I’m not sure if I’m going to add a way to change their names because how I see it is that a big part of the fun of the game is the silly random kitty names ^^

The game counts both adopted and non-adopted cats the same, so they’ll just stop entering at all. If you let a kitty leave, another kitty will come to replace them (as long as you have food out), unless you sell toys in the meantime.
I’m changing how it works in the next version, so instead of having to buy more toys, you can buy permits to allow more kitties, directly! and it will show exactly how many kitties can visit at any given time so you won’t be left guessing.
Rare kitties are specific kitties, with a set fur color and/or pattern to fit their name. All the rare kitties are named after either cats from my real life (Such as with Malon, my precious lil baby) or named after friends who helped me test the game or are otherwise dear to me ^^
Rare kitties will always have specific names that normal kitties can’t have. They have a rare chance to show up in place of a normal kitty, and leaving out more tuna increases the chances that they visit, for those who like collecting the rare ones.
Thank you so much for the kind words and lovely suggestions ^^ Plenty of these ideas are really clever and I’ll definitely try to add them to the game. I’ll refer back to your comment as I keep working on the game, they’re great ideas. Thank you!
The one thing that is least likely is multiplayer features, since I’m not sure it really suits a game like this, and I don’t have the skills or resources required to implement it, but everything else is absolutely things I’d love to add.
Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for the kind words and great ideas ^^
Kitties lose happiness when you ignore their needs, and the less happy they are, the less kittycoins they give you. I’m working on a system where kitties request certain items and reward you for giving it to them, and their requests will be based on their current needs. I think there should be more feedback for when kitties have unmet needs though, you’re definitely right.
Tabletops are coming in the next update! It was pretty hard to implement since I kinda programmed the 3rd dimension from scratch (I do not recommend) but I’m really happy with how it’s turning out, though it’s a little janky and might take some time to polish. The next update will have a handful of tables though that you can place items on, and physics objects will interact with them like you’d expect.
I considered a day/night cycle, as well as weather. It’s probably something I’ll implement, but I’ll be careful when I do so, since personally I get a lot of eyestrain from colorful games cycling between bright and dark (the Terraria title screen/character creation is just the worst for me >w< )
I like a lot of your little ideas around these concepts and I’ll definitely read back on this as I continue working on the game ^^ I appreciate it!
since you’re so dedicated I’ll give you the exact numbers, but I might change how it works in the next version so we’ll see!
Things cats can scratch (posts, cat grass, sofas, curtains) count as 2 toys. Cheap toys (balloons) count as half a toy.
It takes a “toy value” of 210 to have 20 cats, and a value of 663 to have 21. that’s the hard cap, and it can’t be raised above that.
since toys are kinda messy and take up so much space, I might change how it to just be an upgrade you can purchase to raise your kitty limit.
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it ^^ I’m working on the game again so I’m considering your ideas!
Automatic coin collection could be a good idea. collecting coins is meant to be fun and rewarding and letting the coins pile up can be really satisfying to collect them all at once. I’ll think about ways to make it easier to collect coins, or make it optional
Multi-buy is something I’ve added already for the next version! So keep an eye out for the update, I’ll release it as soon as it’s ready.
Thank you for your ideas and kind words <3
I have been preoccupied with other things recently, but I’m working on an update finally!
It will have the option of buying multiple items at once (already implemented for the next version), and will have an expanded needs system, where different cats will ask for specific toys/food/etc and if you give them what they want they’ll give extra money ^^
Thanks for the suggestion ^^ I considered adding litter boxes, but they’re kinda gross (I’ve had cats and litter boxes aren’t fun, hehe) and I want the game to be 100% cute and fun, not 100% realistic, so I don’t think litterboxes fit my vision of the game. I also don’t really want to draw kitty poo sprites…
however! I am considering other ways kitties can make messes that you can clean up, like spilling food, damaging furniture, etc. to add some more maintenance to the game (but it will probably be optional)
I’ve been preoccupied with other life things (and addicted to shapez 2), so I haven’t updated the game yet. However, I’ve got another update in the works now!

If she is playing in the web browser, her save file is stored in browser cookies, so make sure she has cookies enabled for this page. Otherwise, you can backup saves in the “manage save data” button in the options (only in web browser version for now), and can backup and restore save files that way. Unfortunately, there’s no way to recover a lost save file if she did not previously back it up, I’m sorry :<
If kitties are bored enough they’ll play with anything except for balls on their own, but they’ll play with any toy if they see it moving (if they’re a little bit bored and they’re in the mood to play with it!)
Kitties are only in the mood to do one “play” thing at a time (playing with toys, chasing kitties, chasing the cursor, scratching things, sitting in a box/bed, etc), so if they aren’t playing with toys they’re just not in the mood at that moment ^^
Kitties take care of all their needs automatically as long as there are ways to do so. They will take care of “Play” in many ways (chasing your cursor, playing with toys, playing tag, etc), they’ll take care of “Clean” by licking themselves, and they’ll take a catnap to fill their “Sleep” bar.
Happy is the only exception, it increases slowly over time as long as their other needs are not empty, but also eating good food, playing with yarn, and petting them will increase their happiness.
