I understand what you mean with mouse aiming, many people find it more natural. For now my idea is to keep it so you can play only with keyboard on your laptop without a mouse, but maybe later I will add it as an option. About the projectiles, this is actually intended, it gives a little extra twist, kind of like in The Binding of Isaac. Maybe I need to fine tune it a bit more.
