Ooo hi! And yay, that would be great! I do have a discord! it is the same as my username: raeenbasquiat !

Finally got the chance to download this game! Going to try to finish it this weekend! Really loving the art so far! Do you possibly have a commission page? I recently just started creating a game on Ren'Py (still a newbie) and once that is done, I'm thinking of creating another game and your art style looks great!

Finally got the chance to play this and I really love the art style! The realistic but pixaled images are great. And I really enjoy the music!

This game is really well done! Love the colours, the art style and interesting storyline. ((The game started me off in a middle of nowhere with a couple so I wasn't sure if I was suppose to start off at the library)).

From what I've played so far, I'm really liking the world and the art style! Really liking the characters (I'm horrible at fighting the minions but that's a skill issue on my part, lol)

Hi! I’m currently working on a new project, a game inspired by Yume Nikki, and I’m looking for people to collaborate with. Especially someone experienced with RPG Maker MV coding and familiar with the style and mechanics of Yume Nikki fangames.

Project Context

This game is part of an anthropology-themed series, and will feature characters from my first project, tying together narrative and thematic elements across the series.

Project Status

  • The game outline is already written (but I am open to change things if some ideas are too complex)
  • I have over 500 custom game assets ready for edit (I commissioned a few different artists to create standalone assets that could potentially be in the game, but they require retouches/re-doing as they are not formatted in tilesets. They were created last year).
  • A few backgrounds and free Yume Nikki-style music tracks are already selected. (Selected backgrounds are for “smaller” areas. No backgrounds for the main story line have been found. They would need to be created)
  • I’ll be handling all dialogues and story telling myself.

What Still Needs to Be Done

  • Character sprites (I have one sprite “idea” for the main character but there’s no walking sprite for it)
  • Character effects (I already have a list of effects that will be in the game. They need to be created)
  • Cutscene illustrations
  • Tileset (or using backgrounds as alternatives)
  • Parallax maps
  • Custom UI
  • Custom sound effects (if required, I can take care of that. I’m good at finding sound effects)

What I’m Looking For (Not Paid)

  • Someone who is comfortable with RPG Maker MV eventing and JavaScript plugin coding. (I have experience with it but I would like to focus on writing the story). Ideally, someone who has experience with Yume Nikki-style mechanics (e.g., effects, ‘’waking up’’, abstract transitions, collectibles).
  • A 2D artist that can edit current custom assets or create their own inspired assets for the game

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to reach out! I’d love to share more about the game’s concept and see if we’d be a good fit creatively. Send me a message on discord: Raeenbasquiat

Thank you so much for trying out my game!! And yes, I wasn’t sure if people knew how RPG Maker games were like so I thought adding clues/hints would be beneficial but I appreciate the feedback nonetheless.

As for the cutscenes, the main character is a child. It is up to your interpretation but normally, a child’s POV is 10x more scarier than reality.

Thank you again! I’m glad that you enjoyed it!!

I really enjoyed this story and the art style! I do love a good detective story!

Really love the art style and the story!! Amazing work!

Amazing art and sound! Keep it up!

Very cute art style and love the music!

The art style is soo beautiful! The sound is amazing and I really enjoyed the game!!

Really like how unique the puzzle is! It was hard at first but got used to it quickly!

Really like the artstyle! Took me a moment to understand but I really like it, despite it being short.

The parts that I've played, i really enjoyed it! And love the character design and the cute chibi sprite! Great game!

Hello! The atmosphere and the sound design for this game is really great and spooky. It was to the point where I just had to turn on the lights to play it, lol. From what I've played so far, it is a very interesting game!

Yes, speaking to the kid three times is intentional. I've turned on the memory switch so it should be good now!

Hello! Thank you very much for trying out my game! The puzzle in the punishment room can be activated by interacting with the grandfather clock. The owls will move in a specific order. Once you interact with them in that order, you should be able to solve the puzzle! I was very inspired by Little Nightmares where at times there's very small hints but I will for sure try to add a clue in the future. There is a new version of the game posted at the moment so if you wish to continue and reach one of the endings, feel free to do so!

No worries about the feedback, i appreciate it! And yes, the event was set as below so it's now changed to same. New version is up.

Thank you so much! Once the jam is done, I’m going to update the game with the tweaks. It’s currently a full game but it seems like my riddles from the NPC were too vague as they require items. But I really appreciate the feedback! EDIT: Uploaded a new file.

lovely update!! amazing job so far!

Bonjour everyone! I'm a solo dev that would like to work on a psychological horror game titled The Clinic, built in RPG Maker MV for Scream Jam 2025.

What’s Already Done

I’ve already developed:

  • detailed premise and narrative structure
  • Gameplay mechanics
  • A clear visual direction for the clinic’s environments (e.g., symbolic zones, lighting, textures)
  • A strong thematic focus on psychological and medical horror

Looking For

  • 2D Pixel Artist: To help create horror-themed tilesets, character sprites, and UI elements.
  • Level Designer: To assist with mapping surreal clinic environments and puzzle layouts.
  • Programmer (RPG Maker MV / JS): For custom plugins (UI, stealth mechanics, hallucination effects) and to help refine the narrative and implement branching dialogue/events(that part could be done by me as I have some experience with RPG Maker MV)

Feel free to reach out to me on discord: raeenbasquiat

will do!! :D

It’ll be a little adventure game where the main character explores the garden behind his parent’s cottage. It is a psychological experience! I’m actually done with the game (75%) but I’m currently trying to find the proper visuals for the cutscenes. So it’ll take me a while to find the right visuals that fits the forest/garden theme before publishing the game. Overall, I really love the little guy!

I'm currently working on a game using this cute sprite as the main character! Really love the art style!

Nootnoot to you too! :3

Oh that’s awesome! I can’t wait to see what you’ll make! I’m sure it’ll be useful!!

Oh, I see! It looks like you’ve passed the point of no return! Once you interact with what’s underneath her bed (it asks if you’re sure you want to do this), there is no returning back to the other rooms and it leads you outside. You are locked with the other ending.

Lovely asset pack! It gave me an idea so now I'm creating a new game based off this.

hello! Thank you so much for playing the game!! Essentially, you need to find 6 books and return them in the library room. You should be able to find 3 books at the beginning of the game then three books after the “basement” incident. If you have other questions, let me know!

I used this for my game! I rated 5/5 a while back but wanted to let you know your work is great! :D
