I've also done an engine upgrade which fixes the numpad issue.

I have uploaded version 1.1 which should fix the above crash.

I've uploaded version 1.1 which fixes this crash and the restart button. I'm still looking into the numpad issue because it's browser-dependent.

By the way, what browser (and OS) are you using? Because on mine (Chrome on Win 11) the numpad key does movement when num lock is off, and item usage when num lock is on, and never both.

Well I skimmed the video and didn't notice the bugs. The crashes should be the same in all builds; but your video allows me to make out the error message.

So I'll do some bug hunting. Thanks for the report!

I'm not sure what you mean by that, judging from your video it works? Is there a bug or other issue you're experiencing?

I've just added a web build, that may help though.

Thank you for the feedback! Can you please share what message you got when the game crashed, because that would help me troubleshoot?

So according to google it's possible to add additional accounts to a game as contributors or collaborators. However I'm not seeing this option anywhere in the "edit project" interface. So how do I do this? My aim here is to give someone credits but not full admin rights.

Hi MK, that sounds like a great offer! How do I contact you, are you on Discord?

The reason is that this game uses the GOG Steam wrapper, mentioned here: https://docs.gog.com/steam-sdk-wrapper/

Maybe you can use the enable_logs setting mentioned on that page, and see what comes up? I'd expect the wrapper to be compatbile with Ubuntu 22.

Thank you! Well I like the RL style with a shorter playtime, and got inspired by Hoplite and Spelunky in particular.

Well, ok. I had less free time in the week that I hoped, so this is an incomplete entry (the competition suggests to submit unfinished projects anyway). Best of luck to everybody who's still coding in the weekend!

Day three. Defined several room types and constructed an overworld connecting a series of rooms with branched paths.

Robin Hood meets real-time and stealth-based gameplay as you sneak your way through Sherwood forest.

Well, I'd been thinking of joining the 7DRL some years ago, And as luck would have it, I randomly checked the site a couple weeks ago and realized it was pretty near in the future. So I wrote down some design notes, and today I opened up my editor and started on the code and on importing graphics.

Day one. Basic movement, line of sight and fog of war. Tiles courtesy of OpenGameArt.org.

Hi Franchowick, we appreciate your offer. Please send me your e-mail address so we can discuss this. Thanks!

Thanks for checking! I had fixed that about an hour later but your download was even faster. The executable should be ./Heroine'sQuest, and the speech.vox file should be in the data/ folder.

Thanks. I'm afraid I had made a mistake in configuring the GOG Linux build, hence the lack of voices. It is fixed in build 1.2.9.2, which I've uploaded but needs approval from the GOG team.

You could download Heroine's Quest from this same site. It uses the same engine as Quest for Yrolg (i.e. AGS) so if one of them works on your system, then the other should also work. HTH.

Yes, and thank you for reminding me.

It is available on Steam as a DLC package. We've never (so far) had requests for it at our other publishing sites.

Hi there! Just so you are aware, the game has been rebuilt in Allegro. Could you please redownload and try running it again, and report back if there are any issues? Thanks!

Try DosBox.
