Hi everyone, we are looking for a composer to complete our team. Ideally someone interested in doing background music for a small platformer with some sound effects for collecting items and dying. If you are interested please reach out to me on discord @rach8028
Thanks!

Hi there! Our team is looking for a composer to make some chill spring themed music for our game and some small sound effects, like collecting an item noise/dying noise etc. If you still have not found a team and your are interested let me know , rach8028 on discord

Aha yes I did implement the entity only in the last couple of days, so it was superr rushed unfortunately. I've received other feedback about the blurriness so Its something I will be attempting to fix for sure! thank you for pointing out and also about the overlapping. This all helps for my next update I appreciate it :) thanks for playing!

That is a really good point about enabling nearest filtering, In my next update I'll definitely try it out :) I appreciate all your feedback thank you for playing !

Thank you for your feedback :) The music has been mentioned a few times so its definitely something for me to take away from this experience and learn from!

That's good to note and I defo will be playing with the ground layer a bit more to make it move as it stayed stationary the whole game, and I understand about the audio it was not the strongest point! Its been a learning experience for me using free sounds, but I would try reaching out to an audio composer for my next jam instead as it can really turn things around. Thank you for your feedback!

Ahh yes, I could not figure out how to fix the sizing issue in the end and all I could do was leave a line saying to full screen it. After the jam this is on my list to look into! thank you for your feedback!

I defo had that in mind as inspiration as I really liked the simple style of Dino run, which was perfect for a beginner programmer like me. Thank you !

ahaha, I had completely forgotten I'd put that in. In the end I could not figure out how to make it work with my sprite and made a note to remove the "crouch", however I got distracted and never did so thank you for pointing that out XD it will be removed, thanks for your feedback!

Thanks very much!

Thank you!

Really cool set up the UI control panel makes the game easy to navigate, I did not realise at first that I could slow down so I found it difficult to read the text and control at the same time, but once I figured it out it got a lot easier!

The concept of this game is great and could go even further with a few more tasks and added backstory. Obviously I understand the limited time, but the set up has good potential for a longer fuller game leading up to finding the body. Very creepy atmosphere and vibe, loving the low poly environment, the only thing I would point out for visuals is I feel the bubble type font does not completely match with the vibe set up, a distorted but easy to read one such as the one you have chosen for the title blends in well!

Well done to everyone involved!

I really liked this the story was small but impactful for the amount of time it had to set up! It was just long enough that I felt sympathy toward the characters. I did the share the mask ending first I liked that you could choose, when I tried to restart the game to get the other ending I got the cut scene about getting houses next to each other but was not sure if this was meant to happen?. Overall great game one of my favourites so far!!

This really has potential in my opinion it just needs a few markers or way points to guide the players as I found myself getting a bit lost, it took me a while to find the pickaxes and when I picked them up I could not seem to mine anything, so I'm not sure if there was a step I was missing. But overall the set up is very good the environment was simple but creepy.

The time travel mechanic is the main winner in this game for me, it's a really clever idea. A short but impactful way to tell a story, well done!

Thank you !! :)

Hi Ariel, I would love to work with you if you are still open to! I am programming and making the art for my game, and I usually use freesounds for my music, but I would like to work with a sound designer! :) If your interested send me a message or reach me on discord (rach8028)

Such a cute little theme and story which can be read from just the title. The art is the top trait in my opinion!

To boost the amount of challenge there could be some changes to the drops maybe or just creating the illusion by changing the tempo of the music, but I feel this game is meant to be more of a chill vibe so this may not be your end goal! Well done :)

Love the art style and concept. For me I found the inverted controls a little hard but that might not be the case for everyone. I would also recommend making the fences either the darkest colour like black or the lightest colour, as sometimes I found it hard to spot where they were. You could also help the player get familiar with this by having the speed be slow as first but gets faster as you gain distance. Well done!

The art style in this is gorgeous!  with a endless solid gameplay loop that gets harder as you progress.

As other people have commented I also agree about experimenting with some audio, some chill background music to match the pastels and some satisfying pop sound effects would really push this even further to the top! Well done everyone!

This was super fun throughout I took the slow and steady approach and managed to get to 2088 m! The limitation was used very well, the level of challenge remained the same however I don't feel this was a bad thing, as there is one goal only, to get as far down as possible. Well done to everyone involved!

Thanks so much :))

I had a lot of fun using it! it was extremely simple and I could focus more on the art style, I'm glad you were happy with the gift xD

Thank you, I was quite happy with the effect it had!

I did! I thought of the name last aha, this is a much better suggestion

Thank you :))

Thank you !!

Super cute!

Hello apologies for the late reply, yes of course! please just include my username as credit :)

Great approach on the theme! I like that you moulded it into something that wasn't 'expected' when you hear the term wild. The gameplay was super good the puzzles felt smooth and not too difficult, well done! We are all a bit like Dunker I too like beer and sunsets.

Thanks!! He is just so cool like that.  But I would love to try putting in some kind of double jump or something in the future because it is very "smooth" lol.

thank you! :) I appreciate it,  with more time I would of liked to play around more with changing the sizes of things or even the size of the room, but nether the less I had a lot of fun! The exporting was nearly the most problematic part tbh aha I did not realise it was broken until I uploaded it and someone pointed out it was just a blue screen!! but you live and you learn lmao.

I should of mentioned in the description, but as I haven't included a menu or game over screen yet the game just continues running aha, and can only be re-played by refreshing the screen, definitely something I need to work on.

thank you!!

Thank you :) for sure, that's a good idea I would love to add more mechanics in the jumping to make it a bit more challenging!

oh no! :( thank you for letting me know I'll have to re watch some tutorials.

made me use my brain, but also has relaxing vibe with the music, I enjoyed. Great level design

This was super fun I feel I've trained for this moment as the fire mechanic reminds me of a certain fishing mechanic that I've spent many many hours mastering. It's engaging and addictive! the octopuses are super cute. One thing I noticed is that some fires may start a large distance away from the bar so I would fail instantly. But it's not every time.

My high score was 9!
