here's some ideas I have for the game upgrades
A circular wave that happens every certain amount of shots. For example:
fire 8 bullets around per 8 shots
Combos increase value of coins (like 1.5x combo is double coins or smth)
Modes you can add:
Glass cannon
makes you only have 1 heart (even if you buy +1 heart upgrade) but gives 100% more damage
Shield Force
makes you have 0 hearts but you get 5 shields that cannot be healed (you can increase hearts but it gives a shield instead)
Fragile
1 heart with no buffs (and no increasing hearts)
Tank
5 hearts but -50% damage (hearts can be increased)
Bounty
Coin drops increase the more enemies you kill without getting hit (stacks between rounds too)
I'll post my first dose of details here, the rest i'll send to you later on gmail
I'm trying to make a game that features local multiplayer on browser that's heavily inspired by a game called escalating duel: https://federico-calchera.itch.io/escalating-duel
It'll probably have 3 players max on local (and 2 minimum)
How I want it to work is there'll be spaceships floating in a space background, top down format. these spaceships will use selected abilities from a menu and then go into the game, with either 2 or 3 players. (Maybe even both as an option!)
They'll then use their abilities that they've selected to fight. I'm currently in the process of creating art (with the help of other people because it's too annoying alone)
As you can see, it takes heavy inspiration from escalating duel, and it also takes a little bit of inspiration from a game called bopl battle for the ability selection screen.
Here are some resources that I'm using currently to make the game:
https://www.pixilart.com/ : where i make some rough art to be built upon by my artists
https://itch.io/ : you know this one, i'm using it to post my game once it's done and to find help to make the game
https://milanote.com/ : where I share ideas and sort my thoughts on a board that i can share with others (potentially you)

try and browse tags like Text-interactive / text adventure, Word mechanics / word game, Experimental / narrative and it could help if you add details like when you played it, what platform did you play it on (like browser, PC, Mobile), any unique audio, was it found with a tag, a jam, a collection, stuff like that.
