Played this the other night and it was so much fun!! Amazing concept, and every option is hilarious. Someone did indeed die in the elevator. 10/10, will play again

Haven't gotten a chance to play yet but definitely adding this one to my list! I love seeing games explicitly name that love doesn't always have to be romantic!! More of that in TTRPGs (and everywhere) please!!!
I also love the way the game is set up where the "scenes" with beloved are meant to be super short, whereas what actually gets played out is the scenes with your rivals. I feel like that's a really great way to highlight what's important in the story you're telling and I'm interested to see how it goes in play.
I've had the privilege of getting to help playtest this game, and I can't say enough good things about it. It's an amazing game, the art and graphic design are beautiful, and it's so much fun to play. With all of the different powers and ways to make monsters, there are so many different ways to play and unique stories to tell. If I had to list my top favorite things about the game they would be (in no particular order):
The game is incredibly detailed, with so many fun optional mechanics. Want to include magic in your game? There's rules for that. Want to include an evil government organization? There's rules for that (and stats for government agents too!) Want to just play a simple game of superpowers? You can do that too!
Once you get the hang of combat, it moves so smoothly! There's no initiative, so you can work with your team to decide how to best act together.
The powers are so unique, and I've loved every one I've played (Thermal remains my favorite- control over fire and ice!)
I could go on, but I think I'll just let you read for yourself and discover all of the amazing things about EMERGENT!!
