Can't wait for the updates! I'll definitely play Books of Power while I wait.

The combat was a bit overwhelming at first, but I really quickly got used to it. I really liked the art and story, I especially loved the combat.

Would really love to see this made into a full game!

I've always liked Clint, so it really bothered me when I realized that a big part of the community really didn't like him.

Thanks for taking the time to make this

I'm happy that my assets are helping! Good luck with your game dev journey! :D

1. The theme will be announced when the game jam starts

2. The game should be uploaded to your itch.io account

Hope this helps :D

I didn't actually expect anybody to actually use it, so thanks!
I watched the video and I'm impressed you made your own engine.

I just played through the demo. It was amazing, I loved every bit of it! I loved the look and feel of the game. Can't wait for the full release!

:D

I actually forgot about that secret until now. Congrats on finishing it that fast.

Thanks for playing!

perhaps

Thanks for the feedback!
The fact that I chose a capsule hitbox is questionable, I can't quite remember why I did, but I'm probably going to change it to a rectangle.
The problem with character being slippery and falling off platforms could also be blamed on the hitbox, but it could also be because of the acceleration speed I chose, so I'll look into that as well.

I've found the problem.
It has something to do with the... sounds?
Well, I've fixed it and will have a fixed version uploaded in a bit.

Yeah, I've noticed that something is wrong with the jump for me as well. I'll have to take a look.

Hey, sorry for replying so late. Happy you enjoyed my game!
Here's the solution for the second level:

I used your Volt5x5 font for my recent game. I was looking for a font for a while and yours was exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks!

Liked the minimalist art style and the music was good as well.

My only suggestion would be to add some squash and stretch to the player for some game juice.

Great game, enjoyed it.

Very fun game, but I really suck at it

No

It was really fun, but the thing that stood out most to me was the music. How it changed for each Ben. Great work!

For something that claims not to be a game, I get the sneaking suspicion that it was, in fact, a game that I played.

Jokes aside, I really enjoyed it. I would love to see it updated to a more polished version.

Scroosher is extremely fun! I had to force myself to stop playing. Really loved the art!

That was awesome! I really loved your game! You only had 48 hours, but your game is very much polished. The puzzles weren't too hard, but still made me scratch my head from time to time. The plot was also good.

Over all an amazing game.

Had a lot of fun playing it! You should definitely consider continuing with this game after the jam

Really liked the art, music and interpretation of the theme. It was pretty enjoyable as well.

The music was catchy and the controls were good.

Cute af

It's rare that I find a game that gives me chills. The Thing in the Lake succeeded in doing just that. Good job!
