Very cute and has a lot of potential! Frosty asked me to give my feedback/bugs in these comments so here it is:

  • Mouse sensitivity setting would be good
  • Having a master sound slider as well as separate ones for SFX, music, and dialogue (if you put more dialogue in) would be nice.
  • The fox's LMB is noticeably louder than other sounds
  • The rapidly changing size of the stripe effects in the maze were nauseating. Would help if the changes were more gradual
  • Taking damage doesn't have much feedback besides the knockback. I was confused as to what was going on with the knockback and health fruit graphic change, and only realized what was happening after my first death.
  • Art is pretty but some assets might need higher resolution textures. The trees with the white painted patterns are an example of this iirc
  • I like the stylization of the creepy assets like the moving roots and antagonist
  • If combat is a significant part of your game, it could do with more game feel and polish
  • Could not figure out how to defeat the boss
  • A quest tab would give players more direction and help people remember what they're doing in long-term playthroughs
  • The font with the umlauts and extra lines is cute, but certain letters are hard to read. Especially when small and at an angle like in the pause menu. Lowercase A looks like a lowercase G. If any characters throw up a big problem but you like the rest of the font, you could try replacing those problem characters with something you make or something from a similar font
  • Some images in the intro cutscene are barely visible for the majority of their time on screen, the rest of their time is taken up by fading in and out. Give them some time to exist at full opacity before you take em away.
  • The splash effects in the intro are cool, but when there's a bunch of splashing super fast, and the contrast of little bits of the image are all over the place and changing quickly, it's hard to properly register the image

I hope the feedback helps, and best of luck with the project!
