Thank you so much for playing! Which speed value were you looking at? The current and max speeds change differently depending - max speed is only affected by your engine upgrades, while current is constantly changing due to how fast you accelerate (boosters), how far you've been accelerating for (distance), and random effects. We really appreciate the feedback!

Hello there! The ship won't visibly move paths, but if you look at your fuel credits you'll see the correct path was chosen. This was one of the first bitsy games I ever played, and ive been coming back to it for years. Absolutely love it. A beautiful, tragic ballad-story game, the colour shifts and text effects are so effective for progressing the narrative and portraying details that otherwise might have been sacrificed, the scenery and spritework is stunning, and while it is short it is so potent in emotion. The story lives rent-free in my head. Wonderful, and I will be coming back!
