I really appreciated your submission too, so I’m glad of your feedback!

The two compositions are excellent, great work, loved it. Arrangement, chord progression, etc. I’m admirative.

What an impressive submission ! Ten quality tracks, and a guide, I’m really impressed.

thank you for your feedback! I agree on all you said, and it was very useful to submit in this jam. I realize I may have a bit over processed everything, that leads to harsh moments, sometimes. I will pay attention to this next time.

Excellent piece of music.

I really connected with this track—it has a strong sense of atmosphere and sound design, which is particularly well done.

It’s simple and short, and it sounds surprisingly great—especially considering you seemed to be short on time. It’s very well done, elegant, and you should be proud of it!

Excellent and very inspiring! The stereo panning makes me think it would be great to listen to it live in an installation, like some acousmatic music I listened to a while ago.

I really liked it; the ambiance and sound design are quite remarkable. And what an excellent title for this soundtrack.

I think you’re right. I decided to introduce a clearer and more distinct theme to stand out in the scene—partly for contrast, but also perhaps because I wasn’t confident enough about my ambient sound. Since this is one of my first tracks in this genre, it doesn’t quite fit the ‘ambient music’ style. That became even clearer after listening to many of the great entries in this jam that really nailed it. Thanks for your feedback!

Excellent track, very well produced.

Really nice entry, very evocative !

I liked the track—it works well! (maybe the sound of wind or waves a bit loud at times, overlapping the rest of the music ? I’m not entirely sure). Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and listened to it twice! :) Very subtle and elegant, great work.

Thank you for your feedback! I’m indeed heavily influenced by Danny Elfman, and I explicitly asked myself while composing, “What would Danny Elfman do?” to bring more variety and try to be more cinematic. It’s funny how noticeable it is.

Regarding the mixing issues, I think I may have overused saturation on my tracks and made some poor decisions during the mixing process. I boosted the high frequencies and reduced the bass, so it’s possible the track sounded much better before the mix. I must have been too heavy-handed with the processing. It’s great to receive feedback to help me improve!

Such an incredible tool… thanks for the update.
