There is a install.sh inside the tarball. Did you try it or just started the main executable?

Hi, thanks for testing. So I guess it’s not quite working yet. Version 1.33 is the Advanced version (aka my own game extension). See https://github.com/Pyrdacor/Ambermoon-Advanced

1.20 is the normal game. All languages have the same version.

I integrated a cheat console in the Android version with 1.13.4. You have to enable cheats first in the options. Then you can toggle it with the small green icon in the upper right corner. Type “help” for a list of available commands. I tested a bit but there might be issues so use with care. :)

I hope I fixed this now in 1.13.4. Please let me know if not.

Das kam wahrscheinlich erst später dazu.

Der einfachste Test wäre ein Savegame so zu manipulieren, dass du 99 oder 100 Parade hast und dann ohne die Aktion und mit testen. Ich bin mir auch recht sicher, dass das nur mit der aktivierten Parade-Aktion funktioniert. Sonst wäre die relativ nutzlos.

Lately some fake accounts post fake update links here in the comments. I try to ban/delete them but I can’t remove all in time. So please be aware of this and don’t click on them.

Yeah I was thinking about adding it to the options. With edge case I mean that usually you don’t play with a mouse on a mobile device.

FYI: It’s not just a re-upload, the game was written completely from scratch to be 100% as the original but with QoL enhancements. The mobile version has a lot of new stuff which never existed in the original Amiga version of course. And the Advanced version you can select at the beginning is my own extension of the game.

Hm I could add an option to show the cursor on Android, but this is a bit of an edge case.

Because you have no console window. I can try to enable it later but it is quite some effort.

Yeah. First Microsoft messed up the new .NET 10 release. It fails to create proper Android packages. This cost me already a whole day. Then I finally released but Google Play has some new fancy requirement so my Android release had an error based on that (not a real error but Google’s requirement was not met). The problem is that I can’t really do much about it, as I have library dependencies which cause this and they provide no updates.. Still my first release went through because I could click on “Ignore error” in Google. But I had the interface bug in it. I spent almost 6 hours to resolve all my errors and tried to release again. Same Google error of course but this time no option to ignore it. So I was stuck. Could not update nor revert the previous release… Spent many hours today building libraries like SDL and Silk.NET from scratch, fiddling around with all kind of stuff and now finally I managed to make it work… The new release was accepted and it runs on my phone. So fingers crossed. It will be available in a couple of minutes I guess.

I know. Already fixed it but Google is not allowing me to update… I am working on it since many hours…

Ok I found the issue. Microsoft messed up… I will provide a new version soon.

Hi Alex. Danke für das Angebot. Also Daten halte ich auf jeden Fall keine geheim. Ganz im Gegenteil. Aber es ist relativ kompliziert bzw. man müsste die Datenformate extrem gut kennen und verstehen wie ich es implementiert habe. Ich glaube das kann ich keinem zumuten. Aber danke. Ich hoffe es wird nicht all zu lange dauern.

danke für dein nettes Feedback. Freut mich, dass das Projekt so gut ankommt.

Um ehrlich zu sein wechselt der Fokus immer mal ein wenig was neue Features angeht. Das ist aber auch wichtig um meine Motivation zu halten. Nach einigen Jahren am selben Projekt ist irgendwann die Luft raus. Aber ich schaffe es immer noch gut am Ball zu bleiben, indem ich mal den Fokus wechsle.

Zur Zeit arbeite ich an der 4. Episode von Ambermoon Advanced und parallel ab und an am Mod Support. Außerdem arbeite ich auch noch an einem Remake für Amberstar.

Der Questlog ist natürlich auch noch auf der Liste für dieses Jahr, aber das ist eine Menge manuelle Fleißarbeit, die nicht so spaßig ist. Es geht vorallem darum alle Quests als solche zu identifizieren und sie anhand von Markern im Spiel irgendwie aus dem Savegame herleiten zu können. Das ist mühselig, daher habe ich momentan erst so 5-6 Questreihen fertig.

Ich versuche also den Questlog auch noch dieses Jahr fertigzustellen, aber das wird vermutlich eher gegen Ende des Jahres oder zumindest in der zweiten Jahreshälfte was.

Danke für deine Nachricht. Ja ich arbeite bereits an Amberstar.net. Man kann schon auf den 2D und 3D Karten rumlaufen und ein paar Events wie Textpopups usw auslösen. Die Musik läuft so halb. Es gibt noch einiges zu tun, aber ich arbeite immer mal wieder dran.

Also Testen wird bestimmt bald wichtig, denn ehrlich gesagt kenne ich Amberstar nur wenig. Ich bin damals direkt mit Ambermoon eingestiegen. Ich orientiere mich hauptsächlich an Let’s Plays und den Daten.

Yes I am already working on it. There is a working prototype where you can explore 2D and 3D maps. I guess the inventory and conversations also work partially already.

The project is currently in my Amber repository which unifies the engine to work for Amberstar and Ambermoon and maybe also for the future third part.

I you want to try, I could provide a prototype. But it will take a while to finish everything.

If I understand you correctly the 1.9.10 works because it generates the .so file but 1.10.4 is not? Or is it now working with all versions after your fix?

Or maybe not one main campaign because new content is mostly optional. Especially the new quests and dungeons. But they are fun and you get cool rewards.

There are also new spells, items and changes to the game mechanics like curse effects, element damage bonus and so on.

Basically each episode adds new content to the game. I am a single person and developing such large expansion needs years to finalize. So I decided to release content in episodes. It still is one main campaign but at certain points you get a notification that new content might be added to the area you are about to go.

Hm can you try to update to a more recent glfw version like 3.4? I guess 3.4 is required for the current game version.
