Nice idea and liked the grayscale aesthetic.
Unfortunately moving the armchairs and the vanity to block the light was quite difficult. They didn't seem to want to move but a very very little at a time.
Not sure if it was intended, but you can just click on the keys to pick them up even if the character isn't close to them. So you can just skip the light blocking downstairs to finish the game.
Entertaining little prototype. Smooth to play and everything seems to mostly work. I shoot above them first everytime without reticle, heh.
To give some critique there isn't much incentive to move around. Just find the closest corner and you can survive without taking dmg no problem or even just the edge of the map. Also some of the creatures that are far away don't aggro to you and just stand still. Regardless, was fun to test! Good job!
Cool little puzzle game! Easy concept to expand on.
Some notes on my experience:
I read the instructions before starting the game.
First impression after opening the game was of not understanding what I was looking at.
Fiddled with random stuff after the initial bewilderment and figured out how it works.
Mirrors sometimes did and other times didn't let me rotate them after placement.
Had to pick them up and place down multiple times before I could move them.
Good job getting it done!
Cool thematicly and nice little narrative there too! It was fun to play even though I had some initial trouble getting hang of the movement. Mostly the jumping as it sometimes wouldn't have forward momentum and just went staright up. Maybe I didn't move forward enough before trying to jump? You can also leap very far and high if you just hold space, maybe intended?
