These Mushies chat, make friends, and each has a job to do, which makes the village feel alive. The pacing is well judged: just as I wondered what to build next, something new appeared. I enjoyed breaks like swimming to collect dewbells. The Elder's tutorial moves at a good speed, and the game is intuitive enough that you can skip him after a run or two. The game spells out exactly what you'll lose before you re-shroom, which I appreciated. I still hesitated but curiosity won, and the reset felt meaningful. It also left me with questions I wanted answered, like the upgrade tree, which I didn't get to explore fully. The art is a highlight. The shaker is still my favorite, with the builder in his hardhat cap being a close second. I loved being able to add color accents to the houses and seeing which residents live in each one made the village feel like a real neighborhood. I appreciate that it’s a calming game with no heavy timing pressure; I steer away from stressful games. The music is gentle, bouncy, and fun, and it matches the village's easy rhythm. You clearly have a lot of fun ideas; Mushies is definitely on my wishlist.
