Hey, I made a tool for GM's for player counters also for Wrath & Glory.
https://pronomicalart.itch.io/wrath-and-glory-tools

I'm going to make a collection to bundle all the tools together.

We're two people on this project. Kayla (the artist) did most of the art for the characters in Procreate. I did most of the UI (the notepad and evidence folder in Krita, and Aseprite).

Yeah, I was considering a feature like that, we were just running low on time, hence not finishing our vision for this jam.

Well done on finishing the game. It's more than I can say for my own game. Nice and easy to read sprites, with pleasing sounds. I did struggle now and again with the jump responsiveness not being the best. Very good overall.

If we had more time to playtest before the deadline I'm sure we could have fixed the dialogues that sometimes lead to softlocks. Thank you for still seeing the potential of our game. We hope to do it justice by continuing to work on it post jam.
The function of skipping a dialogue seems like a good idea.
Sincerely,
- Calart

Yeah, we had close to zero time for playtesting unfortunately. There is a way to reach the credits mostly without issue, but I understand the frustration with some of the softlocking dialogue.

Thank you for playing anyway

Very cool game. While rough around the edges it was very enjoyable.
I got through the first level with not too many deaths. I did however have many difficulties with the boss, I wish there were more indication of where the fireballs come from.

Overall, solid and playable, and I liked the intro cutscene a lot. Had a sort of 80's nostalgia vibe to it.
Have a nice rest of the game jam!

I would really love to be able to scroll around and expand the workspace. I love the simplicity as it is right now, I just need a lot more workspace than this app provides currently.

Hello really like this program, is there any way I could edit the source or something, theres some improvements i'd like to contribute if i can.

Awesome game, after hitting too much/s i started getting bugs like 0/s, had to refund all my buildings to reach mars. But I had fun!

Great mechanics and solitare adaptation! I got addicted, unlocked queens mode and it's a great little game to kill 10-30mins or to get lost in and forget time exists.

Loving the game!

Very cute and fun time killer. Would be great with more rooms, hygiene mechanics, with poop and bath time. Could also be fun with having breeding mechanics with rare combos.

It looks cool but every time i Jump, it closes the window. I would suggest having the option to play with w, a, s, d and perhaps spacebar for jump.

Would love to play again if you update the controls.

Sincerly, Calart

I think clearing the cache on your browser is the only hard reset right now. Once I add save slots people can manually reset their progress.

Either that or I will reset each patch, and make a downloable version if people aren't ready to update yet. Thanks again, for reporting the bug.

EDIT: I found the best new short term solution is opening this page in incognito mode/private window to force a reset.

- Let me know what would be the better move for the next patch.

Ah, once the game is a little further along. His Spritesheet is fully done, I just need to work on the recruitment mechanics, which I'm not sure how long will take.

Bonus concept Art:

Thanks for playing! I pushed out an update for the counter in this latest patch: Compressed Numbers - patch 0.3

More content on it's way soon!

Thanks I was so focussed creating the save system, I rushed out the patch. Next patch will have counters and new upgrades.

Game artist here.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I think a lot of resources were used on developing ideas. Which unfortunately meant a day 3 complete redesign of our game, so we probably only spent 3-4 days on this version of the game. If we had another week, I think we could have made something a lot more engaging.

Our first idea was to have an automated puzzle type game, where the mechanic was about using the world around the creature to encourage it to find its way through different challenges. So a god-type game where you, the player, don't control the character, similar to what we have here, but more puzzle and less sim. However, we all had very different definitions of how to go about the design for that game. Until we collectively agreed that a pet sim might be the best route to go for this jam.

Then you need to turn the fire on and throw in the blood and the bottle.

try using the hand on the rat and putting the hair in first, then use the knife on the feather

It#s kind of mean#t to be you use the book to try and guess what to do.

but I ran out of time so I couldn't explain it in game.

Everything you mentioned I had in mind, I just ran out of time. Thank you for playing!

I wish I knew the controls, it seemed interesting, but i couldn't exit the menus
