pretty sure the "chapter 1" is just gonna be the full game. But if there were more chapters, your great  grandkids will probably be 80 by the time a chapter 7 comes out 馃拃

From the order of release and also how the story goes, Lust Epidemic, Treasure of Nadia, Genesis Order, Symphony of the Snake (this one is still not completed yet)

Aside from the ones I mentioned, My Bully is My Lover by Niichan (extremely emotional, can be cringe at times but it still feels very natural and fun. I think this did a great job at making every character have struggles and problems while also making their personality shine through it which is what Eternum kinda didn't do well imo.) Other recommendations are Out of Touch by Story Anon, Harem Hotel by RuneyGames, Innocent Witches by Sad Crab (the pacing of this one is kinda bad but it does everything else really well), MIST by 395games, Freshwomen by Oppai-man, Projekt: Passion by Classy Lemon, pretty much every game by NLT-Media, and a lot more that I'm a bit too lazy searching for.

1. I see, so is that also the reason why OIALT barely has any music or was that just a design choice? And either way, this does make me feel less hateful towards the soundtrack choices, but it still doesn't change the fact that it ruins certain moments sometimes.

2. Not entirely sure I understood this so no comment.

In my opinion, you will only like OIALT better if you're a nerd who treats concepts and emotions in stories too seriously. What I've said about my original post was mostly on OIALT's technical aspects of story like the humor and charm that Eternum lacks. But that doesn't mean everybody will be bothered about that. Eternum in terms of graphic quality is already miles better than OIALT. It has better graphics, better effects and visuals, the animations aren't just honey select presets like what OIALT uses and are actually well made, and the models also look a lot better overall. Eternum, like I said, has a more versatile and interesting story concept. Because it is able to explore so many different themes (intergalactic, wild west, fairytale, etc.) in its story, the overall story at least doesn't get old and repetitive and really captures your attention admittedly more than OIALT.

To give an analogy, OIALT is like the song "stairway to heaven" by Led Zeppelin and Eternum is like the song "final countdown" by Europe. At least in my experience, many people far enjoy final countdown more than stairway to heaven. It's iconic, it makes you hype, it's more catchy, the lyrics are easier to sing to, and it can be played in so many occasions like parties, car rides, or at the gym. Stairway to heaven, however, lacks literally everything I mentioned except for being iconic. It starts of extremely slow with a folk-ballad sounding intro, the lyrics are pretty minimal, the song is extremely long, and it hardly fits the vibe of most occasions. It definitely doesn't catch the attention of the general audience the most efficiently, yet it's still highly praised by critics and is even considered to be the best rock song of all time. Because on a technical level, stairway to heaven is a much more complex and overall better song than final countdown. The build-up of the song contrasts the storytelling of the lyrics and speaking of lyrics, it's able to capture so many concepts and words of wisdom in just 1 line. The song has influenced many rock songs into becoming epics or narratives. Spiritually and in its legacy, stairway to heaven is a far better song than final countdown but you're only gonna see that if you actually bother to feel and understand the song. If you just wanna jam then you're better off listening to some Playboi Carti or some shit. But yeah, this analogy is pretty much what  I said for both OIALT and Eternum.

And I'll end this by saying that there's nothing wrong if you like Eternum better than OIALT. There can be things that are objectively better than other things, but that should never stop you from liking what you like. If everyone collectively agrees that pizza tastes better than black licorice but you think otherwise, as long as you aren't forcing it then there's nothing wrong with disliking pizza but liking black licorice. All I care about is that you understand the depth of literally anything I said about OIALT and appreciate the aspects of it that I mentioned.

I don't have a perfect memory of what the song sounded like so pardon me if I sound ignorant or wrong, but I did remember my reaction to the music being that the vocals were nice, soft, and the lyrics fit the scene well. But the overall instrumentation was kind of a little bit too energetic and upbeat (this could be just a poor choice of words. Idk how else to describe a song that isn't exactly Charli XCX level upbeat but at the same time isn't somber or soft enough to fit the scene).

So yeah, there's my opinion if you wanted it. But even if that one scene had an amazing song choice, it still doesn't change what I think of the game's OVERALL song choices are. But I get that it may just be me and it's all based on preference.

You forgot to add the words "factual" and "best" in your sentence.

Alright, don't feel offended if you like Eternum better. At the end of the day, you are right. This still is an opinion.

The world needs to know how beautiful of a masterpiece this game is compared to Eturdnum. (Alright I'm quite overexaggerating my hate for Eternum. I still absolutely love it and it's in my top 10 AVN's oat. But I do think it gets overrated quite a bit and I think OIALT deserves a lot more praise. So far the only AVNs I liked better than OIALT are Leap of Faith and Being a DIK.)

I used ChatGPT

Okay I was joking, but it really wasn't that bad. I've had essays in elementary school that were more tedious.

This might be a hot take but OIALT is way better than Eternum. The only thing Eternum did better was with the graphics, animations, and models. Everything else, OIALT just does better.

Firstly, the music selection in Eternum was pretty ass. There were so many royalty-free sounding songs which kinda ruin it for me. The music for the sex scenes are so out of place. When I heard that reggaeton song during Nancy's first scene, I wanted to stab my ears with rusty nails then poor piranha solution afterwards. Okay, jokes aside, the music in the scenes are either upbeat pop songs which don't fit the somber and sensual aspects of the scenes, or it's garbage royalty-free sounding songs. Now onto OIALT, in 80% of the game there is literally no music, but after playing Eternum I am forever grateful for the silence. The silence does somehow romanticize certain scenes more and the scary bits (hospital, Magnus' mansion) felt so much more sinister with no music. And for the very few bits of music that is actually in the game, they either use extremely recognizable meme songs (which I do not mind at all since it enhances the humorous aspect of this game), or some other random music which at least doesn't sound like upbeat royalty-free music. There are very few that sound like royalty-free music like in the introduction, but overall WAYYY better music choices than Eternum, and keep in mind that this is considering the fact that most of OIALT has literally no music.

Secondly, the humor, horror, and romance. I'll use this section to say that Orion (Eternum MC) was genuinely a pretty bad MC. Like bro just cannot keep his eyes away from an ass for 2.3 seconds. This dude is an absolute horndog king. He's also just extremely cringe and cliche (I get that this was somewhat intentional but it was just NOT executed properly). That one text interaction with Dalia about the meme hairstyles was genuinely one of the most NPC, ChatGPT dialogue I have ever seen. His dialogue where he tries to act all cool and strong (like when he picks a line for Nova's comic, or his interaction with the guy during the heist (forgot his name)) was so mind numbingly cringe that I got a concussion and died for a solid hour and came back. And also the fact that he just gets powerful effortlessly (like how he somehow just becomes buff, gets super magic powers a few days into playing Eternum, 100% compatibility) just makes him seem like a Mary Sue that just cannot develop as a character properly since he just does everything perfectly in very little time. Orion just isn't funny, he isn't very charismatic (at least for me, his flirting and pick up lines just seemed more cringe than smooth or romantic), he's just pretty generic and cringe.  Now Mr. Chopped on the other hand, OIALT's MC is kind of also a douche who solely wants to get laid just like Orion, but at the very least he doesn't stare at boobs and ass every 1 millisecond and makes an 8 hour monologue about it. He at least seems more controlled and less of a horndog king. But he does everything else as a MC really well. He's extremely funny, (His fake heart attack plan during the locker room scene was hilarious), and the fact that he looks weirder than Orion makes him so much more funnier. His expressions are just extremely overexaggerated and funny sometimes and he can actually make good jokes. The flirting and shit is still cringe but somehow more humorous than in Eternum (I think it's because OIALT is aware that it's meant to be cringe-funny while Eternum makes it appear more serious). And also, the fact that the MC is flawed and freaks out like a lil bitch, gets saved by characters like Aiko, Stabby Mike and Asmodeus, overall makes him more relatable and gives him more character and personality. There was an attempt at doing this in Eternum where Luna or some random Idriel/random woman hallucination that would freak Orion out a bit, but it doesn't stand out nearly as much as Mr. Chopped guy. OIALT's MC's more human-like nature also just made the scary bits more intense. The jumpscares and sound effects were cheap and not scary, however the concepts of the scary parts still bring a sort of uneasiness to you. Like in Magnus' case, just the thought of forever living as an immortal skeleton that constantly feels pain and agony is gut wrenching and scary. If Orion were the MC, it would ruin the mood since he's powerful and overall more skilled than Mr. Chopped. I bet he would've had a much easier time in the scary bits. But Mr. Chopped is a string bean average joe and we can easily relate to him when facing certain horrors. And I love that about this game. Overall, OIALT's MC is just hilarious, very likeable and relatable, his flaws and humor make him somewhat charming and sweet, overall a way better MC.

Now lastly, the characters and story. I do think Eternum has a better and more versatile story concept. (being able to play on different dimensions and uncovering their nature sounds a lot more interesting than hunting down a random demon with 5 dick sucking followers). I'll give this to Eternum, the story was definitely more attention grabbing and exhilarating. There were many themes and characters to explore, and also much more action and drama going on within the story. But on an emotional level, OIALT's story was genuinely amazing and more impactful. There were a lot of interactive scenes (like the would you rather questions, quizzes, gameshow contest) which made you connect with the characters more. This is just a personal opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree, but I feel like Eternum's characters just rely too much on sob stories, pity and struggles and not much on the characters' overall capabilities and personality. I genuinely prefer having characters like Iris. She doesn't have a traumatic backstory and she also isn't depressed or insecure about trying to fit in with some sort of group or about a specific trait about themselves. She's just an energetic, pushy, and freaky girl that's just there. Without having to make us feel bad for the characters, our focus is now mainly on the characters' overall personality and that's what made OIALT just so much more better when it comes to bonding and interacting with the characters. The only main girl characters in OIALT that are insecure or have sob stories are Carla and Rebecca. I would hardly count Aiko at all as we were never really involved in that specific part of her life. Meanwhile in Eternum, every character except for maybe Annie has some sort of struggles or problems which imo kinda just diverts our attention towards trying to make them feel better rather than further connecting with them. I also feel like the humorous and random nature of OIALT made the side characters extremely memorable. In Eternum, I forget that characters like Eva, Axel, Maximo, etc. even exist. It's not that they are bad characters or they lack screentime, but it's because they simply don't offer any emotional or entertaining value which makes them stand out. In OIALT however, almost everyone is memorable. Jack and Tom (especially after the spray) are genuinely really funny and comforting characters. And even a character, Stabby Mike, who doesn't have the greatest amount of screentime, every moment with him was extremely memorable. To meeting him in prison and making a plan to talk to Calamity, from him cross dressing on the train, to being a mafia leader, to being a priest. And all the way until the end, he comforts and motivates us to keep moving forward and says the most important line ever. "that love is something that only happens once in a lifetime". My eyes and dih were crying during that very moment. Alright, jokes aside again, Stabby Mike was a very unpredictable and hilarious character. It really shows that if you make a character shine their personality more instead of their looks or their 4 hour long sob story, you will make a character that is as great and as peak as Stabby Mike. I just loved that Mike became open and vulnerable during the last moments, to really highlight how great of a character he was and how we did not want to lose him, instead of being vulnerable midway through the game and letting it overshadow their personality entirely. Now characters aside and back to the story, concept-wise Eternum is better but I genuinely have to say OIALT executed its concept better. Astaroth and his sons were great villains. I love that they stayed mostly faithful to how Astaroth was in actual demonology and made them tempt or challenge humanity. Every son was memorable and their ties to the actual demons in demonology are really intriguing. I loved OIALT's story a lot more because it focused a lot on humanity, its weaknesses, deep connections, and a lot more.

Conclusion: OIALT > Eternum, and it ain't even close.

Sad that there will be less people seeing this game due to the dumb shadowbanning shit :/

This may or may not be the last time anyone will ever see this game on itch due to the shadowbanning shit :/

Random question but how tf do I pronounce "Sicae"?

GTA VI GOT DELAYED TO 2026!! Hopefully new update before GTA VI (cope).

(1 edit)

Huh? I'm pretty certain I was replying to the other guy and not you.

(1 edit)

Ain't no fucking way hollow knight silksong and GTA VI are gonna release before the next update of this game.

Do you need a friend to talk to to calm your mind down? You've got so much more in life to do than to argue with random strangers online for supporting a cartoon porn visual novel. Have peace, go outside from time to time, and enjoy a brief whiff of fresh air.

That's great! I absolutely love your artstyle man

Okay I found it, I really was just a  dumbass lmfao.

(1 edit)

Bro am I just a dumbass? I've been reading the discord server rules for like 20 minutes and idk wtf the entry code is ;-;

Why does the artstyle look so strikingly similar to innocent witches? That's not to say this game is bad. Tried the demo and it was fun.

(1 edit)

This game game is great btw. Keep it up

Random question but how do I pronounce the name of this game correctly? Des-ay-rium? Des-ee-rium? De-ser-rium?

If you're reading this, this game is not abandoned.

Well, this build with the old engine is gonna be abandoned, but the dev is continuing the game on a completely new engine because the engine and models used to make this older game is outdated and doesn't work properly on new PCs. Game will be continued on a new engine.

Edit: I'm gonna make this clear, it was the dev himself said that he was working on the story in a new engine in this comment section which you can find it and I decided to make a comment about it to spread the news.  I don't know where to find their progress or any reports they have, I don't know what engines the dev used for their games, I don't know if this statement is even true at all. With that said, let's all hope for the best for this game.

do you have a walkthrough or guide to show us all the different interactions, choices, or paths?

Having a few problems. The quit button doesn't work and I can't change the volume of the music and sound during the game. It works during the title screen/main menu though.

Alright cool!

are you still there?

(1 edit)

I have still have absolutely no idea what's going on in the comments. Please can someone give a clear, serious, and concise statement as to what's going on?

any new updates?

What did you use to make the animations? They're amazing

This comment section is giving me a headache, and I have absolutely no idea why.

Thanks for making me look like an idiot.

I've looked into my discord and decided to check the server for any updates, but all I see are rules, welcome and subscribestar welcomes. Is this just a bug for me? I tried leaving and rejoining and its still the same, and I joined in with another account and its still the same so I'm doubting that it's a bug. Did something genuinely happened in the discord server?

Hello, this is your dad, please go to law school or I go get milk.

sadly there won't be content anytime soon, it's probably abandoned. Dev hasn't been online since january and the dicord server is just dead

you okay?

yes, dev hasn't been online since january and discord server is basically dead.
