really great game! i enjoyed the precision platforming the game has, and the art is amazing as well. I just wish the precision platforming was improved slightly, because 90% of it right now boils down to just coyote timing it, so each time you have to jump just barely off the platform. maybe there can be some more challenges? oh yeah and the theme is not really that clear. had fun!
oh my god i love love love the art style of this. and the theme is so cool. i can imagine this straight up being a proper game. this is like INSANE for the time frame im like so impressed. the lighting is so good. im sorry but i couldnt really play it all the way through, because i encountered a collision error, got soft locked and then got an error message, but thats fine, i would have played this game throughout regardless. great job!
okay so for your first game and also first game jam? its absolutely a great submission. although i would say you guys probably already learnt a lot throughout the process, from the players side there are a few issues to note. as stated by previous commentors, its kind of hard to see the platforms due to the color scheme. nothing was explained, so im still not sure what some of the side effects do, so a little work could have gone there. and some sfx and better music could have made it a better experience.
but damn for a first project this is absolutely insane. my first project was a terrible TERRIBLE flappy bird clone, and i couldnt even do that part right, seeing this feels like you have a great team going. keep participating and keep improving!
I loved the chill feel of the game. Grappling felt amazing, even with rigid block and those floating enemies. it was cool how you could maybe push them around to possibly cheese the game. i did feel the walking speed and jumping speed didnt really mesh well. but thats just a nitpick. i feel like the theme can be explored much better. very well done!
i love the art and polish of the game! genuinely enjoyed the jetpack movement even though the levels were kind of large. the mouse controller does not seem to work well though and i found that there are a few bugs like i got soft locked towards the start when the enemy hits you at the exact time you press E on the button. but yes, other than that, loved the experience!
okay i absolutely love that art style of this, the funny computer thing and the whole theming. i love the creative side effects. i enjoyed it so much i actually want this to be a fully fledged game! just a small gripe, the level transistions seem to happen "twice" or look slightly buggy. other than that, amazing game! may i know what engine you used?
okay i absolutely love this concept of building up your robot. it is genuinely so fun to control stuff even while off of my body, may not make sense, but its so cool. and that "click" sound is so amazing its like asmr i keep wanting to toss away my items just to click it back into place haha. enjoyed this game. i wish the platforming controls were a bit better cause the jump feels a bit off at the moment. oo and see if you can making the throwing itself a different mechanic in the game.
honestly the game was not so fun. I did not really feel there is much of any metroidvania aspect to this at all. changing size is necessary, but then again, its such a huge world, you just go around collecting cubes of your size, then scale up, go around and repeat. the movement also feels clunky i dont know why, it kind of jitters. I wish world interaction was a little bit better, maybe make the world 3x smaller that what it is right now and slightly modifying the collecting mechanics could make this an actual fun game!
ah yes, the prompts were something i was trying to do on the last day and just with some bugs was not able to accomplish that! that sucked, but i learnt to put accessibility first in design as well. will keep in mind from now.
and yeah i agree the secret was a but tough without reading the store page. Thank you!
