I can report that the APK is working on my Samsung Galaxy S9+, so its not an all Androids issue at least.

Looks like todays public release of Joiplay updates(Joiplay 1.20.520 and the others)  has restored  renpy functionality that the previous patch broke. (Tested with other games including HPC version 2.4.9) After installing newest joiplay and running any game once and giving permission to use storage, people may have to manual copy and move the 'files' folder from the old android/data/cyou.joiplay.renpy/ to the new destination of android/data/cyou.joiplay.runtime.renpy.v8d2d1/

Personally theres not too much that Im personally against, but for those that are, Im with the majority that a simple skip before to after scene would suffice, just need to be a bit cautious for future content about how the scenes are written to avoid too much characterization happening that might be missed if skipped.

A skip shouldnt have to mean pretending like a scene or an act didnt occur. Mostly its just people don't want to have to witness certain ones. And if they're willing to skip it, then that's the accepted risk.

As for the future, if you believe you can create a quality alternative route that's worth it, I say go for it. But if the alternative is there simply for the sake of avoiding something potentially uncomfortable for a few, then id say save the hassle and go with a simple skip with warning.

Late reply, but 'back' by default is with a 2-Finger press anywhere on screen.
