As the person who created the Phone Guy's sounds and voice, I have to say that the only problem with the phone call script (not the code) was that it was too long, and the programmer didn't make the call code a safe point. Interestingly, the audio for the first night is 2 minutes and 35 seconds long, and each night is 6 minutes long, meaning each hour of the game is 1 minute long. So you would just be listening to the Phone Guy's nonsense, and after 1 minute, the Phone Guy would finally start explaining the mechanics of the animatronics.
Hey, thanks for the reply! I didn’t mean to be vague or rude with my comment — when I said 'wtf,' it was more of a surprised reaction than actual criticism. I went into the game not really knowing what to expect, and when I realized it involved... You know, from FNaF animatronics, I was honestly just caught off guard. It’s not something I’m used to seeing in fan games, especially with characters from a horror franchise, so my brain just kind of went 'uhh, what is happening?'
That said, the game ran smoothly and I can see the effort you put into it — the models, mechanics, and UI were... hmmm, all solid? It’s just that the theme is really unexpected, at least for me personally. I’m sure some people are into that kind of humor or concept, but it just struck me as bizarre and a bit uncomfortable, so my reaction came out as a quick 'wtf' in the comments.
Again, no hate or disrespect meant — I just wanted to clarify what I meant and give you a bit more context. Thanks for taking the time to engage with your players, it shows you really care about your work.
