As a big fan of the original, I was skeptical, but I really loved this. It was impressive how accessible the game is now without losing what's unique about it. This was the perfect streamlined take on the game that hits all the highlights of the game, and for the most part, I didn't miss the things not included like the crows.
It was also refreshing navigating the camp without needing to get oriented with the map every few minutes to make sure I'm moving in the right direction.
The timing of this release is amazing, because I kept hoping after the recent Jaws NES re-release that this would be next, and here we are. The universe listened.
