Thanks for coming by and leaving a nice comment! Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that the camera movement was dizzying, we will try to improve on either the speed or in general giving control for the camera. 🙈

Haha, thanks for playing and also for streaming, was fun hanging out! :)) We will try to improve the physics and also to fix the bug that you have encountered. :D

Aww, thanks a lot for coming by and leaving a kind comment! :))

Thanks a lot for coming by and leaving a kind comment! We will try to improve the controls so that everyone can enjoy the game. :))

Thank you for visiting and leaving a nice comment! We are super happy that you found our spiders cute. :)) We will definitely try to fix the camera, so it's more user friendly. :D

(1 edit)

Hey! This was my first game jam, and also the first time making a game (if we don't count the tiny assignments at the university :D). I've really enjoyed it, everyone was super nice in their ratings! Also I'm not really a big gamer in general, used to play only a few specific games, so seeing everyone's ideas was super exciting and found quite a few games that had a great hook. :))

During the rating I've mostly played the browser games as I'm usually on my work laptop which should not have random executables running on it. I've also taken the time to download a few on my PC (always running the virus scanner before starting, you can never be too catious :D), but it's definitely easier to just start something in the browser.

Aww, I really liked the art! Also the spinning was on point, slightly challenging, but I could get the hang of it.

Maybe the randomness (if it's random) could be tweaked a bit: sometimes I only had 8 ripe souls in a round, which meant I could only make one mistake. This meant that the second spin upgrade was quite a debuff as I was reaping everything. :D

Awww, this was adorable! I didn't buy the cat as I thought it would be unfair to my hamsters that they cannot have a bit of rest. :D I really enjoyed playing it, well done!

This game is genius! When I thought it cannot get further, it always surprised me once more :D:D It's amazing, well done!

Very funny game. Felt a bit bad when Juniper got taken out by a poison dart and when the war criminal became the president, but oh well, we all need some luck for life. :D

Fun idea, my favorite was the sound + music, gave it a proper creepy atmosphere. :D Maybe some more buffs, debuffs, random events could add some variety in the gameplay, but I'm not even sure if that's needed. Good job!

Taking a look at yours now, here is ours :) https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4696962

Haha, yours had a quite funny theme :D Here is our very serious romance game: https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4696962

Very funny idea! I've found the level designs quite good, and the mechanic was interesting. :)

Thank you for your kind and detailed feedback! We are quite inexperienced in game development, so it's super useful to hear about mixels and unfortunate font choices, but it all makes sense. :) We will definitely have to work a lot more on the controls and the camera movement to make it more user friendly. Thank you for all your suggestions, we will try around with them. :)

Thanks for visiting and leaving a kind feedback! :) Oh no, didn't want to cause any motion sickness, we will definitely have to slow down the camera or make it controlled by the user, so it's not as sudden.

Thanks a lot for visiting and for your kind feedback! :) Many people mentioned that the camera movement was a bit dizzying, we will try to improve on that after the jam. :))

Thank you for visiting and leaving a detailed review! Great idea on rotating the camera yourself, we will definitely try around with that. :)

Thank you for the detailed feedback, it's very nice of you! :) It's great that you have reported this bug, we will definitely look into the issue with restricting our game area, and try to improve the controls.

Thank you for visiting and leaving a nice comment! We will try to improve the camera after the jam, so it feels more helpful and less dizzying. :)

Thank you for your kind feedback! Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that you got stuck, there is definitely a lot to improve with the controls... Hopefully we can get it more enjoyable and less frustrating after the jam. :)

Awww, thank you! Next time we will definitely try to live up to the expectations more! Improving the controls is already on our todo list. :)

Thank you for your kind feedback! Yes, definitely there is room to improve our camera and controls, will jump onto the task after the jam. :))

Thank you for your kind comment! We will try to make the control less frustrating and more enjoyable after the jam, we will see if we succeed. :))

Aww, thanks a lot for your comment and for your suggestions! We will improve the guide after the jam and also try to make it less dizzying and disorientating. We also have big plans with the web mechanics, we will see how it evolves. By the way, absolutely loved your game! (But already left a comment there as well :D)

Thank you for your kind comment! We will definitely try to make the controls much better after the jam, we already got some great ideas in the comments. :) Thanks for the recommendation, we have checked out your game in the meantime, quite complex one! :))

Thank you for the kind comment! We will try to polish the camera movement after the game jam to make it a bit more helpful, we already got some pretty great ideas in the comments. :))

I had to read the comments to understand the piano mechanics as I always pressed a key, then x, and it just exited - then I've tried playing a sequence and pressing x, but also didn't work. :D

Other than that the base concept was super interesting, loved the different skills (the little toad-thingy that didn't jump super high was the least obvious one though and I think I bugged in two of the ropes by activating them from the wrong angle 😜), and it all came together very nicely. I liked it a lot, well done!

Gloomy was super sweet, I liked the art and the music a lot. :) Well done!

Very interesting game! I didn't get very far, still have to work on my spinning skills, but enjoyed the thrill. :D Really nice graphics. I would have loved some help from the state sometimes so I don't go bankrupt so fast. :))

Please take a look at our very serious romance game: https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4696962 I will check out your game in a minute :)

Very interesting idea, I liked all the different type of guns and enemies! It was a bit hard for me to figure out how to turn the wheel properly that all of my guns are useful, and would have loved some upgrades on my already bought guns (but maybe I just didn't make it far enough in the game :D). Well done!

Not sure if this is a problem on my laptop, but I had it multiple times that my mouse actions were not taken, and then I thought that the game was frozen. Then clicking like a few pixels off worked, but it was quite confusing. (I've played the browser version in case it matters.)

As others have already mentioned, I've also found the information dump and all the data and choices quite dense. :D I've just decided to go with 4 cards, chose and used them exactly the same way in all missions and rounds, and that somehow got me completing all of them, but I'm still pretty clueless. :)) Maybe you can make a longer "onboarding" where you have fewer stats or fewer cards, so every one can pick up the speed?

Very interesting concept, I've found the base idea very creative. :) The upgrade system was nice, decided to max out everything before going for the last application, and this resulted in sending quite a lot of applications... 😂 Luckily I didn't get blocked by spam filters, and even landed a nice job, how convenient! Well done!

Awesome puzzle! I think I didn't figure all the clues, but luckily managed to make the call. 🎉 I also liked that there was no punishment for trying around a bit when I was not entirely sure in my answer. :D Well done!

Thanks a lot! I hope you will like ours: https://practical-manatee.itch.io/juniper-game-jam-2026

I had a lot of fun with this game! It looks great, sounds great, the upgrades are awesome, well paced, everything was just wonderfully tailored. :)

Whew, this one is really hard. I think I got to the third level and then got stuck. Maybe you could add a more detailed tutorial for beginners like me? :) Overall very interesting concept, looks good, well done!

Fun idea with all the endings, didn't manage to unlock the AFK though when left it running in the background 😂 Maybe needs some more time. Blowing up the world was completely justified though!

Wow, looks very colorful, will have a try :) Here is our game if you have the time to take a look, thanks :)) https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4696962
