Problem: Da Michi is really strong and kills anything I send at her.

Solution: Conquer Lia and leave her to "spawn" more liacons while you conquer the rest of the map. When the game starts lagging, look back at the upper left corner of the map to find a horde of liacons. Send them all in at once.

Da Michi eviscerated so many liacons, it was like watching Sauron swinging his mace.

Fun game, my only critiques would be that the camera movement was very slow and selecting an army to attack by selecting each unit one by one was a bit of a hassle. 

Cool, great art. Some of the UI was a little slow for my tastes, but maybe I'm an impatient person:

  • This is a game jam game; I don't think it needs a ~30 second (I didn't time it) unskippable (as far as I could tell; I was spamming all of the keys on my keyboard) title sequence, especially when you need to reload the whole thing to see the other path after sending pippa out into the night to get eaten by wolves.
  • The text speed was kinda slow, especially the white on black text. I think the text box text would skip to the end when I clicked which is good. 

Overall cool demo

Nice. It seemed like the zombies were a little too easy to defeat since there doesn't seem to be any punishment for rinse and repeat shove into punch combos to avoid getting damaged. Also after finding the first pumpkin king all smashed pumpkins spawned more pumpkin kings instead of having a chance for candy or infestation. Not sure if that was intentional. Overall fun game

Thanks for the comment. I tried to fix issues with cursors being freed, and I thought it should be fine now as long as you're playing the game fullscreen. If you hide the status screen (or show it and then hide it again) it should hide the cursor. If you had other issues with the cursor that couldn't be solved like that could you let me know how they happened?

Yeah, I should have made them attack faster or maybe wait to attack until they got closer or maybe nerfed walking speed while aiming...

Thanks for playing. Yeah, feedback would be nice but I just didn't have the time. As it was I wasn't able to add half the content I wanted.


The gun is a revolver that reloads one at a time. Maybe you cancelled the reload by shooting after only loading one?

Thanks for the comment. There shouldn't be any music; I assume you mean sound effects? Honestly the sounds were pretty last-minute. If I were to continue work on it, (I won't unless there is another spring cleaning PhaseJam) the sound design would definitely be a priority

Thanks for the comment. I updated the controls to use Q instead, and gave it a button for controllers as well. I would have liked to add feedback to the kills, but I was more focused on adding content, and even then I wasn't able to add much... It might feel inconsistent because there is a small sweetspot hurtbox in the center of the pumpkins that deals 4x damage. If you hit it, you can kill them in 2 hits but if you don't it will take 5.
