Hi Spratt ! What an awesome game you made ! It's pure puzzle gold imho.

In  honor of your work I wondered if I could code something similar and month ago started work on an Atari 8bit version of such a puzzle game :) Hope you don't mind me coding such game and releasing it to the public next week in an annual Atari game compo. I've redrawn gfx to fit atari specs and wrote code from scratch in assembly. I will write all info about the original game in the credits and point every current atari 8bit user  toward your games :)

Problem with me testing the game is that I've passed each screen probably a hundred times, so I usually don't make mistakes, don't fall into holes, don't hit enemies most of the time... It's kinda hard to make yourself to die :)

Well, not like the c64 version for sure :)
We could do something like A8 manic miner, but that would be limited I'm afraid.
Second option is to go full vbxe color version, that's still in discussion phase :)

I will make separate XEX files for each level, will let everyone know when I finish it.

I've never encountered such "infinite lives bug" yet, but will try to reproduce it :)
Same goes for that falling down bug. Could be jump from one screen abouve that one on the video...

Very nicely done, only problem I see is hard way to control things. I know you can do it with joystick and with keyboard, I've read the manual, and I still don't know if something I tried to do actually does something or not...
I've managed to build couple things, but still don't know how to build a mine etc...

Yes it is. Don't own it myself, but I've heard you just have to choose pal and atari XL or 130xe as configuration (instead of default atari400).
