Ah, apologies! On Windows, the game closes when you press enter after the ending, but if you're using the enter key to skip dialogue, then yeah, it would just close the game immediately. We'll look into ways around this...
For now though, if you're still interested in seeing the endings, you can skip through dialogue with other keys (or just let it play out).
The first encounter is the only one at present, lol.
The core mechanic of the encounter is the new action you get after a few turns; there's a pattern to when it helps you vs. harms you. If you figure out when to use it, the encounter should be pretty easy from there, hehe.
