Im still figuring out blockbench. Hopefully one day I can finally tackle it and introduce models into future games. Loved your game by the way! Had me literally laughing out loud.

Believe it or not there were no 3d models used. Im still just using the custom modifers. I feel so primitive next to everyone else's great use of 3d models in the community. Lol

Thanks for playing! Im going to flesh it out a bit more after the contest is over. It was really fun working on this even in the short time available. Consider it a prototype of something much more spooky for next time! I definitely was spooking myself a bit during testing. Lol

Loved the art and world! Not sure what was going on and I kept running out of ammo. Seemed like there was an issue with projectiles coming out at the enemies' feet? Great job with the art and UI! It felt very fresh and unique! Great job!

Now this is fantastic! The time and thought put into this is really great to see! Loved it! Great work! 

I hope it's a great time! Just trying make something nostalgic and fun! Oh and yes, I stay on updates fixing and improving the game. 

I just released a new update nerfing Cobra Commander's fight at the end. It should hopefully be a bit more manageable.

If you wait til Friday, a new update will be out with a new boss fight level and a new enemy along with other small tweaks.

So with some games or mods Ive grabbed off itch or moddb I always have Windows security freaking out saying its detects a virus when it's simply Windows being overly cautious. The EFPSE engine games seem to do this even if I download them. So you should be fine. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks so much for giving it a spin! It's a constant balancing act as I add more weapons and enemies. I'll definitely look into the Crimson B.A.T. and see if I can adjust him a bit. I think that's the one you're talking about. 

Level design evolution is pretty intentional based on the games the maps came from. They evolve as the maps in fps gaming evolved through time. Here's my references for the maps:

Maps 1 & 2 - Wolf 3d

Maps 3 & 4 -  Doom

Maps 5 & 6 - Doom 2

Maps 8 & 9 - Quake

Map 11 & 12 - Perfect Dark/Goldeneye (12 is out Friday)

The boss maps were originals. 

I'll definitely look into a bit more polish and embellishments for those early maps. More stuff to fill it in with detail. I do appreciate your honest feedback! It helps with development and that's why I approached it in a week by week development process with open feedback. It's helped immensely along the way!

I loved the vib3 you created with this game! I loved Castlevania growing up and definitely fell in love with this one immediately! Really did a great job bringing a classic sidescroller into an fps perspective! Fantastic job!
