Thanks so much for your feedback and for playing, you're absolutely right in terms of the flies not blocking the frog movement, I also don't think they should get caught on the tree so in hindsight I definitely would have changed that!

Beautiful presentation and the fact that you had a full opening cutscene is unheard of for a Game Jam - well done!

Jeff was a proper pain and some of the prompts were too vague which I guess was designed to make it even more frustrating! Pretty accurate of a real-life office job...

Love the idea of the game being that you have to avoid damaging others which is usually the aim when a sword is involved - perfect fit for the game jam theme

Love the art and the visual presentation of the game, although I think it would add value to show a visual indicator of when you're either doing damage to an enemy or taking damage yourself, I didn't seem to be able to die - maybe that was the point though!

You just about get used to controlling the car and then the steering reverses and throws you completely off balance, frustrating but fun and definitely a great concept! 

Takes a while to get used to the controls but once you get into the flow it feels lovely and smooth, very well polished :)

Love the 2.5D perspective that you've pulled off and how you have to be careful where you stand when the clock ticks down, can't just zoom your way through - really great work, well done :)

Hahaha, I think I was just trying to pass my frustration to those playing it after trying to remove many a fly from my house over the course of the jam XD

Agree with you completely, I would have loved to have it so that you controlled the direction of the tongue with your mouth but I didn't have time to figure out how to code that in the timeframe, will definitely look into it for future projects though! Thank you for playing and for the feedback :)

Cheers for your feedback and for playing!  So the flies start off spawning slowly and then spawn faster as you level up, eventually you'll just hear a very annoying drone of buzzes haha

Thanks, and thanks for playing! I experienced that quite a lot too, there's a knack where you can go from side to side at the bottom to entice them down, but then you end up trapped and surrounded by a swarm so it can be a risk haha

Glad you were able to get to the end, but absolutely - this level wasn't meant to be the only/first level, but because of the structure I'd used when composing my game I found it difficult to add additional levels, which was disappointing! But - I've learned for future projects, which I guess is what these game jams are all about! :)

Thanks so much for playing, and for your feedback!  Ideally, I'd have liked to do more introductory levels before this one, but I ran out of time after building what I had so thought I may as well just run with it :)  I thought I did set the resolution up correctly so I'll have to see what happened if it's displaying strangely... I have just realised that putting it into fullscreen means that you can see some of the un-textured background which isn't ideal, definitely didn't think of that!

Agree with all of those points, the death sound wasn't set to loop, although I did notice that if you get stuck on a moving saw it plays it a few times, but sadly didn't have time to do much about it!  Thanks again :)

Thanks for playing and for your feedback, would definitely revisit the saw collision box again if I were to develop this further, because there's nothing more frustrating than seemingly clearing an obstacle but still dying!

I did contemplate adding like, a visible track so that you could see the width that they travelled, but then I thought that might be a bit too easy, and I kind of liked the panic of having to nudge the other robot forward whilst trying to control the other.  Thanks for playing, and for your feedback!
