Cool game, the concept here was actually very similar to mine with the digging. I like it! Though I got very incovenient placements of the shards to keep my memory so that sucked.

I enjoyed this game a bit, though the sprites overlapping when two obstacles came at the same time was quite odd. The entity being blurry when he was big was a bit funny though i don't think that was intentional. Also the ending card screen was zoomed in on my computer and it seemed zooming in let me see more of it but not all of it, even though the game was in full screen. Other than that it was interesting, i liked it!

Maybe it's just my computer, then. I wouldn't put it past that, my thing is not good at handling 3d stuff even if it is simple. Sorry about that

This is top notch I have to say. I love the way the pixel art is done and the sound design actually startled me with how viceral it would get for the visuals. The dialogue between the characters is quite short, but it was enough for me to like the characters. The way they died seems tragic, though not unexpected given the nature of what we're getting into. I presume Terry made a recording before it all ended?

The navigation itself wasn't very hard, though the walking speed being a bit slow did feel a little slower pacing wise. I mean other than that though I have no complaints! I would like to actually see something as a prequel to learn about them and how they all got together.

Hi thanks for playing the game, glad you liked it! Yeah it was quite a pain at the beginning to figure out how to delete the tiles from the tileset but I'm really glad I was able to eventually figure it out. Adding upgrades is a good idea for the dead-ends, the way I thought of it at the beginning was that the end game upgrade for digging would be so OP it would account for it (and since I made the paths and stuff well before I added darkness and lighting I never accounted for people getting stuck in the deadends as an actual possibility when so low on time XD sorry about that)

Hi, I apologize for the WASD not working, I wish I could update since it was such a simple fix. Having more items and stuff to find is a good suggestion, I did have a system of coins, that was planned on leading to a secret ending if you found them all, but I couldn't add it in due to time constraints. In a future update I will love to add it in.

Thanks a lot and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Z also serves as a jump key, lol. I wanted to actually think of the Hollow Knight controls for my basis of how the controls worked. I grew up on those old games and if i'm being honest, arrow keys are still my preferred loadout if the game doesn't use a mouse, though I suppose this is in the minority. Glad you enjoyed!

Yeah, it seems that I messed up the WASD bit, I have an update ready but it seems I can't port it over for a little until the jam is over? Sorry about that, I didn't intend for it.

stats: (round: 10, turn: 6)

Run Grade: A

Waves survived: 17

Enemies Defeated: 49

parts found:18

max hit damage: 4

This game was amazing!!! I loved the art direction, and the ideas for the items and stats are very interesting. No clue how i died so fast on Round 10 despite being so OP before, but other than that, it was really fun. I tried to go for an all speed build since i thought that meant i dodge attacks, though reading the other reviews shows that defence seems to be more optimal. Regardless, I really enjoyed this one. The music makes this seem a lot more silly than scary even though the premise is quite macabre, though that did make it funny in it's own right.

One thing i would suggest is to be able to voluntarily thrash items I don't want instead of having to wait for them to rot to get them out of my inventory. Other than that I have no notes.

Last thing, I had some ideas for games that were somewhat similar to this in the modular stat increases, but in a more fundamental change to the playstyle; you should DM me on discord or something (link is on my game for simplicity)! Also, have you ever played cruelty squad, the premise seems a little similar to this, and it's all the better for it!

I like the premise a lot. Being one of only two people working in a labor camp under some supervisor in a mysterious place is very interesting. It was a bit hard to get who was who at first though. The walking speed of the character I feel is a bit slow too, though it makes sense i guess what with suffering from malnutrition. The singular footstep sound gets repetitive and when i tried to mine the ore or do anything other than getting up it didn't seem to work sadly though.

I believe I wrote the primary controls in the Setting page, no? Let me know if not so I can fix it when I update it tonight.

hope you get it, I had a blue screen an hour ago myself; crazy stuff happens. I was able to submit but imagine if i was even unluckier.

so currently there's no point making something? That's a little reassuring i am trying to make a basic godot platformer so I guess something horror based now. Hopefully I do well

Very cool game, glad you are starting to make bank off of these games.

This was absolutely amazing! The controls were great and the game was challenging but not too hard, as per usual, such as with the secret room that I never seem to find. I hope to see more of your games soon!
