Love it! Lot of interesting mechanics. Each floor was an interesting puzzle to solve. Power ups gave me choice to craft my own run abilities. FYI, as someone who does not play a lot of ASCII art games and roguelike games in this style, it took me a bit to realize the key for all of the tiles was below the screen.

Hah alien invasions would be interesting...

Does the model you are exploring have variables/logic for the death and birth of states you can implement? I imagine the stability of the model may be less, but I can imagine a few ways to implement birth/death that may not cause instability (I haven't looked at the papers you link to). Mainly by using proportionality as your weights, e.g.  The larger the state, the more prone to fracture, the smaller the state, the more prone to death.

Interesting! The graphic design is very nice. I am guessing there is no birth or death of states?

Nice! I would love the see the background animate over time with the music :)

Do you have any suggestions for tutorials to get started with procedural music? I have though about trying it out...but it seems a bit daunting  (I am not a musician).
