I'm really glad that you enjoyed the atmosphere! I loved making the art and animations for this game! Hitting the boss does actually decrease the timer by a few seconds for every hit but it would have been a good idea to signal that to the player somehow lol. The stairs are a bit weird too I agree, I should have put that in the description somewhere. Thank you for playing! ^u^
