As you can see if you downloaded the game or looking at the screenshots it is very early stuff. There is like 8 spells 1 Item and 1 Map with 2 Enemy types. It clearly ain't that much but this Page is mostly to get ppl in who just like myself are interested in a game like this and have ideas or feedback for what I build so far. I have a bunch of stuff planned (just like everyone says for their game lol) and I have a rough Idea of what a first finished version could/will look like.
I assume that this state will be reached around rune for the next "Steam next fest" atleast that is the plan.
There has not been a lot of balancing work simply because it is kinda a waste to put multiple hours into spells that might get reworked anyway (I did that already like 3 times xD) so rn I'm really just trying to see what I need to make the game feel good to play and then start pumping Maps, Spells, Items and enemies. Luckely making most of these things is Comparetively easy the biggest time investment was getting most of the big features to work concistently and also well enough to not getting really annoying.
To give an example Pathfinding was a pain in the ass, I probably spent 6 Months (not at a time) to figure out how I can make my Character avoid corner and enemies but not get stuck on them. I'm happy with how it works currently but it definetly is not perfect. Since Movement was obviously one of the first things I did it is also one of the worst systems I have coded in this game (probably atleast). So there will be lots of adjustments, updates/fixed to everything you see. Which is Why I want as much feedback as possible.
As mentioned on my Discord aswell I will add Button to submit feedback from inside the game probably for the next version because I think that is really important for people like me who can't be asked to tab out and for example join a discord to leave feedback. This also includes feedback that is mostly negative, meaning you can call this game stupid ass garbage that is fine but as long as you tell me WHY you think that is the case I will always listen.
To maybe add a little bit about my plans for monetization of this game. It's obviously not set in stone (for obvious reasons I mean look at the game lol). I would love to make the game f2p without adding excessive micro transactions. I have some ideas for stuff like OPTIONAL dlc or something which I think could be cool but if that results in nobody buying them I just kinda shoot myself in the foot. But since I hate how modern games do there microtransaction trash dumping. I want to find a better solution for this in the future and I also take suggestions on that of course. Mostly likely it will just start with a low price and we'll see what happens from there but I feel like mentioning this right now is not a bad idea for discussions for ppl who are interested.
