I would advise making sure you can export a build from GMS now; I could just have old information but I remember GMS charging a licensing fee before you can build your projects.

But hey, you've got this! And you couldn't have picked a better first jam as someone who isn't good with art. To tell you the truth, that's why I'm here too.

I'll see you out there!

If these seem obvious, A) I am very sorry, B) you have the perfect mindset for going into this.

1) Don't stress out over this; we're just here to have fun.

2) Be scrappy; your code doesn't need to be pretty or optimized, it just needs to work.

3) Don't spend too much time on any one thing.

4) Be familiarized with your game engine of choice. If you aren't settled on a game engine yet, just use Unity. It's got great documentation and better tutorials, (I recommend checking out Brackeys on Youtube, his tutorials are great,) but how well you know your engine is significantly more important than what engine it is.

Anyway, it's great to have you, and I hope you have fun in the jam! Go make cool things!

Of course! I left a comment. :-)

Well done!
My only comment is for the longest time I thought the color selector was bugged because it resets all the way to the left whenever you launch your snowball, leading me to think that I always got that result no matter where I stopped it. I would recommend stopping the arrow at the place that it was when the player pressed the space bar for a little bit so they know for sure where they stopped it.

Thank you! Same to you; I played your game and had a blast! Keep up the good work

Hello hello!
I had a bunch of fun playing your game. There were some hiccups resulting from being trapped by the blocks sticking to one another, but other than that it felt pretty good. You said that this was your first game, and for a first game, this is really impressive! I hope you stick with it and have fun making games!

To you as well.
