Name of System: Level '92: Video Game Store, a cosy shop sim set in autumn 1992. You run your own video game store: set up shelves, price the games, buy used games from customers and haggle over them, order stock, pay the weekly rent and get ready for big release days. Five fictional consoles, a market that changes over time and rare finds worth keeping. Made in Unity with AI assiance (coding mostly)
Number of Players: 1 (single player)
Approximate Session Length: about an hour, which covers the first 5 in-game days. More is welcome. The game saves every morning.
Testing Period: about two weeks from this post. ge.
Other Details:
- Windows only, a 145 MB download (about 450 MB unpacked). Runs on integrated graphics, so weaker PCs are especially welcome.
- Keyboard and mouse or a gamepad (Xbox or PlayStation). English and Polish.
- No sign-up: download from the game page and play. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the game isn't signed yet: click "More info", then "Run anyway".
- What I'm looking for: anything that breaks (crashes, saves, performance, controls), and where you got confused. Please don't read any guides, just start a New game and follow the first letter on the office PC. If something didn't sell and you don't know why, that's exactly what I need to hear. And whether you wanted to play one more day.
- Content: no violence or mature content; some in-game ads and customers with attitude.
- About AI: some of the art (box covers, the logo, packaging illustrations and some 3D models) was made with generative AI tools, and AI coding assistants helped write the code and in-game text. The game design and direction are my own.
