I really liked the shape changing mechanism. Your platforming designs look quite promising too, hoping you extend this game. Only disappointing part for me was I wanted more levels

I do appreciate your comment and its true that the story is pretty long but yeah it was made from that perspective to have a story and also the tutorial in the cutscenes so if player skips the tutorial player will have problem playing the game. But i guess adding a text heading in game at everypoint will make it easy for audience who is not interested in the story will consider it
A really good attempt at PSX graphics.
Lacked luster and creativity for me as true at it was to catch the train it felt like a walking simulator.
A lot of things felt out of the place like grass.png or the default godot sky
Did not have a creative edge on the theme given the time frame of 7 days
as for some tips I would say focus on visuals too.
Best way to do it is having a check list of essentials like sky etc
Don't oversimplify your game
Good potential
First point: Theme is catch the train not chase the train
second point: If you haven't played it through I dont think your judgement is valid to if it stands for the theme or not.
Third Point: The theme is integrated which you can even hear in open voice line where player is in the train and he is said to come back to train.
Fourth Point: I do really suggest playing a game through and through before passing any judgment as it unfair for not only for me as dev but also for everyone else.
