Hi guys, I've been digging through my laptop and found this map that I never quite finish.

Shown in the image is 3 versions of the same map. Basically, 1 version has the outline that shows which tile is walkable and which isn't, and 1 version assigns colors based on the traversal costs. Essentially, lighter color means it's quicker to walk through these tiles, and darker color means the path is less recommended. You can see both at the bottom-left of the image.

Lastly, the bigger island map shows the various paths with lowest costs, like which tile you should follow in order to spend the least amount of stamina when moving between locations. Now, obviously I've omitted many paths to keep things simple, like I know you wouldn't go from the Crystal Mine to Goblin mountain lair, so I didn't draw a direct path between them.

The many white circles indicate tiles that you can interact to enter unique locations. And of course not all are equal, e.g. some are one-time and some only appear after certain prerequisites are met. I was going to add more detailed icons, and distinguish different locations with colors. But I never ended up doing that, hence why I call the map "unfinished".

But yeah, who knows when I'll finish the map to the point of satisfaction. I might as well post it now instead, just so people might find use of it. Maybe when the game next receives content updates, somebody can ping me here so I would know to update the map.

To be fair, it's already mentioned in-game before you deliberately pick the difficulty yourself. And if you are willingly playing on a higher difficulty, I imagine you won't be needing those beginner tips to begin with.

"Hooded Cloak" and "Medical Cloak" are different items, actually. IIRC The former is purchasable at South Gate Camp after it's repaired, and the latter is sold at Elise's clinic as usual.

... and I didn't know about the life-changing tip at all since I'm playing with a controller. Does it just fast-forward dialogues, or actually make *everything* go twice as fase?
(This and the Martyr's Set I'll mention in the guide later)

I think you can still sell ID paper? You do need to talk to the specific thug NPC in the backstreet, while carrying the real paper on you of course. I don't see why this would be removed. And well, the loan works just about the way it does IRL - Don't take more than what you can repay!
(It's good for a speedrun when you try to buy all the equipment before hiding in fish island)

Honestly any build can kill things very fast when your level is high and you know what you are doing. Most of my playtime is spent reading dialogues & traversing the world anyway, so an optimal build isn't really all that important ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Basically, this guide covers various things about LonaRPG:

  • Mechanics Overview
  • Combat Summary and Missable Traits
  • Missable Quest Rewards
  • Farming Methods and Exploit
  • (more TBA)

I am still continuously working on this guide, since there are certain topics that I want to cover in great details, e.g. how the Loan system in Noer's backstreet works.

But the thing is that, I've been working on this guide for like 2 weeks already, I figure I would never be able to release it if I keep adding more stuff, so I should just publicise whatever is already in. The complete sections are mostly proofread already, and hopefully it can help out new players!

Also here is a video on the BEST money-making method I've found. Make sure to TURN ON VIDEO CAPTIONS!

(I don't really use itch.io normally, LMK how this first post goes)
