Anything you miss in Vocaddict? I'm always open to recommendations although I can't guarantee that I'll implement it.

I'm really happy to finally have found a place where I have a busines model that works for everyone and the possibility to keep everyone updated about what's happening with the program.

Updating Vocaddict may be an easy task, but since you've put so much hard work into it, you should update with caution and follow these steps if you're not absolutely sure on what you're doing..

• - Close Vocaddict
• - Find your Vocaddict folder in the explorer.
• - Replace [Vocaddict 3.exe] and [Vocaddict 3_Data] with the new versions.
• - Optional: Make a backup of the [Acconts] and [Languages] folder.
• - Done! You can start Vocaddict now!

MAC

• - Close Vocaddict

Do I have to type everything myself?

Currently you have to type everything yourself. That way you can organize the words as you like, group some of them together, add multiple meanings and so on. In addition you'll already exercise by typing the word. Tools which allow you to share your files are coming soon. The import of existing libraries is an option in the future but won't be coming soon.

Is there a version for mobile?

Not yet, as many features of the program would be quite troublesome on a mobile device.

Can you add feature X?

Maybe, my ToDo list is pretty long. Just add a comment somewhere I can see it.^^

What is your goal behind Vocaddict?

I didn't create Vocaddict to earn money, I just needed a program which I can use to learn stuff for myself and I really liked the idea of trying to make learning addictive. Nevertheless I think sharing is important, that's why I'm putting in some extra efforts to make it availlable for everyone. If you find my program useful, I'm more than happy about a few bucks for a coffee. ^^

How long will you keep developping Vocaddict?

Actually, I don't know yet. I'm planning on keep learning Portuguese until I got around 4-5'000 words and the I still want to learn Japanese which will be another few thousand words... And French and Spanish would be nice too... I guess I'll be on it for a while. Meanwhile I'll try to get Vocaddict to a completely addictive experience.

• Gains and losses now use acceleration to reduce the time wasted on words you know
• Words above level 7 now get reset to lvl 7 if you don't know them

• Vocaddict now creates a backup before it updates files. An advanced backup system is going to come some day.

• Fixed a bug which may prevent Vocaddict from loading if the interface language is set to English.
• The reward system underwent revision, aiming to make rewards more visible
• Quests and Ranks now switch to the reward material upon completion
• The level bar now displays more clearly how many points you just earned
• Added the Game of Life as a means of displaying earned points. Check out Conways Game of Life on Youtube or google. Vocaddict uses the game to reward the player based on the surviving cells which basically works like a slot machine powered by your learning efforts instead of your money.
• Added a timer which is based on the level of the current word with a significant reward.
• Updated the tutorial to include the Game of Life.

• The store items of lvl 85+ underwent thorough revision to make them more accessible.
• Many of the items underwent changes in requirement, prices, etc.
• Many new features for texturing got added
• Unspent LP are now being recalculated on loading the subject.
• All store items of lvl 85+ will be reset when you update. You will not lose any LP.
• Vocaddict now supports localization!
• Added German to the list of available langauages.

• Direction is now reset upon switching from Edit Word to New Word
