yeah sorry about that, I plan on remaking it and turning it into a real game soonish and it won’t have that issue then

It reminds me of older flash games

Sorry! you gotta full screen it! I didn't realized it didn't auto scale when uploaded!

after that you just hit play and it starts

Thank you for the prompt! gonna definitely be learning some more before my next one. Its like im in the toy box with70% of the toys missing. Just learned about something called a class that wouldve been REAAAL useful XD

nah thats a feature not a bug, I loved it

I found out that if you jump the pole doesn't tilt, I was just using this loop to get through easily: jump - > move -> jump -> move. as long as you aren't on the ground you can move freely haha!

This is a fun game, I like the concept and i spent a bunch of time just looking at the jumping and falling animations and the particle effect/ screen shake that just ties it together. My favorite from the jam for sure

At i made a game about the immortal snail but i ran out of time to make it (working 12-14 hours a day 6 days a week since feb 1) and just decided to make  a smaller game, THank you for checking it out!

I like this one lol, it was fun trying to find all the secrets

I enjoy the vibe of it, but it was a little hard for me to follow. I had to play it a few times to understand what the characters were saying because of the stuff just flashing away, maybe add a wait period when the character interacts with objects?

I love the music and vibes man

I dont think the jump button works! I keep dying at the jump parts lol

It was hard man, I kept getting sunk into trying to make all my own assets from scratch AND finding out some bugs that came from not using best practices that forced me to restart. Plus i ended up with so many ideas I couldnt stick with one lol. I was able to work on it some and luckily was able to take a day off work to focus on it from yesterday until today. Took me about 12 hours from start to finish to create my harambe escape game. I didnt realize that browsergames dont close when you hit quit so you need to hit escape to unfull screen it PLUS my game can only be played in full screen because i didnt know the aspect ratio of the browser. Alas my game dev journey continues and the first one is in the books. Im thankful for a few premade assets I was able to combine my own work with. It was a lot of fun and when I have a better schedule and more knowledge I'd love to start working in teams!

Thanks guys for the fun and i look forward to playing everyones games!

I got my game started, made a player, an enemy, an obstacle, the menu, some background things, and semi planned the vibes. Im getting better at remembering the simple things and how some logics work. For example i planned out my own key system! I made a key object and decided that when the player touches it, it will delete itself and the game will check for keys and if there are none then the door will unlock.I dont know if i will have time to implement much else so im gonna try to work on polishing. Its rough and hand drawn but its all mine!

UPDATE: ive gotten about 2 days off since feb 12 to continue to learn GODOT. Im now semi comfortable with the engine and taking zenva courses. I have completed the first 2 basic ones and decided to start working on my submission for the jam when i realized I DID NOT remember how to set up a character XD. i spent about 1.5 hours trying to figure that out without help from videos and just documentation but it aint  looking too hot. gonna take a little break then take the course on making 2d platformers and i will see what i can cook up then. WISH ME LUCK!

imma just wait to start in march personally so i have a little more time to learn and challenge myself. I have a cool meme idea for a game but imma make it between 1-3 levels and with small scope because i have not done anything but a few courses and mini projects so far

I am working about 15 hours a day 6 days a week all of march but my goal is to get some practice in on my off day. I function better with deadlines and prompts. Ive been learning game dev on GODOT for about a20ish hours or so now but i feel like im making some progress. Wish me luck!
