thank you my friend! this makes me tear up to read. im so glad blood money is still bringing joy to the sickos and war gamers out there <3

woah!!! good catch, i had no idea it worked that way. ill definitely look into that ASAP, thank you!! full disclosure, im not all that good with computers so i only barely know how .LCPs work, sorry about that!

hello! sorry for just seeing this. reserves unfortunately dont have an LCP cause i didnt know how to make it! sorry im just a silly guy, idk things about computers or what have you. i recommend that you record them manually in whatever you use to keep session notes

thanks for the review! i agree that having reserves easily applicable on your character sheet would be dope but i have no idea how i would do that lol. its definitely something ill look into

thank you for the kind review! i do agree, this setup would be ideal for a more "traditional" west marches style campaign, if not the pseudo-PUG that most people think of when they hear that term. id love to run something like that, one day...

Thank you for the kind review! I agree, this framework absolutely works for things other than mercs. The canny GM can bend these rules to any shape they need!

That's what I'm here for o7

Thank you so much for the review! It's not often that I'm described as coherent so that is very nice to hear

thank you!!! i very much hope that youll enjoy it!

insanely high praise from the master hacker himself! thank you so much for the kind words, my friend

i dont envy you or your team this decision! im going to be noodling it all night and my dumbass isnt even involved. best of luck and thanks for all the hard work!

i understand why you want to implement the rebake NPCs. your listed reasons are sound, especially irt how rough a computerized GM would be and how some NPC features are duds. i'm quite a fan of the rebakes myself, having fielded them on many occasions over the vanilla roster just because i like em better

that said, i would be disappointed to see third party materials used in LT. it was my expectation that this game would be as close to a faithful adaptation to vanilla Lancer as possible. i get that some things inevitably must be changed for the sake of swapping mediums; its unavoidable. no big shakes. but i didnt expect a change quite this large. the rebake NPCs are indeed designed to honor the spirit of their vanilla iterations, but they still differ quite significantly in terms of mechanics and i think those differences might be understated here (even if i think they are differences for the better!)

its a tough one. i absolutely think the game would be easier to make with the rebake. but ultimately i fell in love with Lancer as-is, warts and all. i was looking forward to having something loyal to the original experience that i could pick up between campaigns when i got the itch. i would still do that even if LT ends up using the rebakes, naturally, but it wouldnt be the same

you should of course make the decision thats best for you and your project, just adding my two cents. this game is a miracle and im excited to play the final version no matter what direction you take it!
