I think I remember the dev mentioning something about either no new positions or just one more being added since every time one is put in, there needs to be custom art made to fit that position for every single body part type/modification/article of clothing, and that alongside every new variant of one of those having to be fit to all of the other positions as well, it's a ton of work.
