Thank you so much - we really appreciate it. Those are some lovely compliments to receive! & no problem on not getting any further,, we did want to make something challenging and I guess we might've succeeded too much in that - but the dragon will always be waiting for u at the bottom if you come back for a second attempt - but seriously thanks again for the kind words,, these are the kinds of comments that keep me wanting to work on games, so it's lovely to hear :) !
Very nicely assembled,, I like the atmosphere - and imagining the world outside of the apartment. The implication of the setting is done well. I think the art and sound effects are also really strong and add to the quiet distrust of this world. It's overall an enjoyable experience and I could imagine it being even more fleshed out. Nice work :) !
Probably the most polished game I've played so far in the jam. I really like the colour choices and the feeling of picking up exp. It's very addictive and keeps a nice amount of challenge, even once having all the upgrades - the sound design is probably my favourite part though - It really brought it all together,, great work :) ! ((this also reminds me of The Void Rains Upon Her Heart,, not sure if you've played it but I would really recommend it))
Thank you - we appreciate the detailed feedback ! - & yea that's weird about the full screen, I feel like it may be different depending on browser - because we didn't have any issues our side. Will look into it going forward though. Really appreciate you beating the game despite the frustration - we did want to make something that had a slight learning curve to it, so it does feel nice to hear it was a bit tough. I was slightly worried that if people continuously lost, they would just give up before seeing the dragon - so thanks for letting us know u made it !
Sure, no problem ! - I think once you start upgrading the quick zombies they become pretty over-powered. I think maintaining a more challenging balance with their health would've made them work in combination with the other zombies better. I guess it's quite difficult because a big element is the speed of each zombie and trying to time their positions on the map with each other - maybe if there was also a way to be in more control of the zombies individual speeds - that might also work as a power-up that could add a layer of player control and tactics to the gameplay
Definitely the most creative game I've played in the jam so far - It's so full of style and character. I did get confused by the UI a couple times. Took me a little while to figure out how to pull out the inventory menu - I might've not been paying good enough attention though. The sound design is great too, collecting the coins is extremely satisfying. I'm also a big fan of how each character feels unique to themselves,, It's a great concept and I'd love to see it expanded upon - V inspiring stuff ! :)
