The overall game is very impressive. Art, music, story, gameplay.
I kinda feel it's hard to comeback from heavy slowdowns. I think it would be cool to have some kind of comeback mechanic maybe get more time if the minigame is completed under a certain amount of time.
I felt it was a bit hard to tell if my strikes were hitting the enemies that's why I was suggesting camera position could be improved. But moving the character was simple to understand.
Another thing you could try for the camera is putting it behind the character so it feels like a third person game. Potentially it could make perspective more consistent and the player will get used to it. Sort of like a 3D mario game
