Initially I had issues implementing the loopback mechanic whilst still running on browser well. I started with larger puzzles that would take more clones to solve, but it took too much memory to store the player's position every frame. The first solution was to only store it every other frame. This caused issues with the clones getting stuck on walls that the player didn't, so I had to decrease the number of clones to 3 and decrease the maximum timer to 3 minutes. I think this caused the puzzle designs to become less repetitive and decreased the punishment for messing up one of the clones movement.
I had difficulties getting the harder puzzle ideas I had in there whilst giving a smooth difficulty curve. I think I did okay enough, but looking back, I would swap around a few of the levels and better explain the hourglass buttons, since I did notice those were large issues in people getting into the game.
You can see the controls to the right in the main menu. Thank you for giving me good feedback and complimenting my project. Also when you find Chipy it mentions heading back to bed. Sorry that I didn’t make that more obvious. After replaying it afterwards with a few of my friends I realized this was a big problem, but it’s too late now. And the not being able to move thing is entirely my fault as I didn’t try it on different resolutions and devices. Which I believe caused this issue.
