* Yeah there is a slight step forward when attacking.  Thanks for noting that you dislike this.  I will have to see what other people say about it before changing that though.  If I remember right, it felt too smooth or floaty to me when there was no step.

* I can look into adding stuff to the map like you are talking about.  It has crossed my mind before.

* I see what you say about the bone fingers, (I call them Bonies because they are basically a reskin of my Wormies in the game, but Bonies fit in better in the graveyard lol)  Maybe I could give them a longer pause before they shoot?  If they touch you they don't hurt you I believe.

* I'm not sure yet about the stats, but you can see your items on the bottom of the pause menu.  Maybe I could add damage and speed there too?  I don't really want people super hung up on stats though.

* Aw man that sucks that you got stuck
.  I guess I should smooth out the fence.

Thanks for the the feedback.  I am writing everything down right now.

I have been developing Noah VS .EXE off and on for a couple years now.  And today on a whim I decided I am going to get some feedback on it once and for all and open it to playtesting.  You know how it is.. you work on something for so long and you don't know what is good and bad anymore.  Anyways, to be more specific on the feedback I am looking for.. Don't get me wrong, I will take any feedback, but there are some underlying thoughts that I have had that I want to answer once and for all.

1) Is this game good enough to be a success.  To me a success would be to sell like 10,000 copies on steam at about $10 USD.  Of course in it's current state it obviously isn't, but like.. is the art good enough?  I have seen a lot of other people using my tilemap and environment assets.  Is that a big negative?  Is the gameplay good enough overall?  What needs to change?  Is it just lacking a level of polish that I will never be able to achieve?
2) The elephant in the room to me.  Will this game ever be able to be a success with a main character that looks like this or do I have to change it?
3) What do you think of the trailer, and is it OK that I posted a link to it here?  I personally am kind of proud of how the trailer came out with my limited video editing skills, although I was aiming for a 30 second trailer, and it ended up being almost a minute.

This stuff is covered on the page, but I thought I would mention it here also.  Right now the game has 3 levels and 3 bosses.  When you beat the third boss (The Giant Skull), you have beaten the game.  The portal on the third level does not work, so there is currently no end screen.  Hopefully I will be able to fix that soon, but I guess my priorities are a little twisted as I am currently working on a super secret cheat menu hehe. Also the localization is a mess right now.  Some stuff is translated and some stuff isn't and it is all currently just auto translated off the internet.  I need to get that back on track soon now that I released the playtest.  Anyways if you are still reading, controller is recommended.  If it doesn't work on Chrome, there is a flag you have to enable to get it to work, otherwise just use Firefox.  There might be a little lag when you run it.  That lag won't be in the final release as the final release will be a native app and not WebGL.  WebGL is just for playtesting for me right now.

Warning: Jumpscares on death. (You can disable jumpscares in the options menu)

Here is the trailer:

Thanks for any feedback you have!
