Just discovered your work, I'm waiting eagerly for future updates. One of my favorites from this genre.

Yeah, but the male goon slaves who attacked the priestess also had the same necklace, and as far as I'm concerned they had no powers they had to subdue with it, so it's probably just there to coerce them into submission. It is probably some mimd control aparatus that messes with the head of it's subjects to some degree, while also apparently inhibiting their powers. A side effect of that may be the fact that Ryoko keeps calling Ryo her master. My likelier theory, as a veteran who has played this game from around the first if not first version, is however that the story was originally that Ryoko was supposed to be a runaway slave (there are plenty of indicators that will likely be reworked when Ncrow gets around to do it) and she has ptsd, which has now been retconned to the story we know today. The master thing may stick around if Ncrow is into it, I suppose, personally I don't mind, but I get that some people may do.
Maybe it's just the chain's effects. Because I always thought she must have suffered some extensive trauma with her previous owner, but wasn't it that nobody ever even had her as a slave and her mother just put around her neck to protect her? Nobody ever urged her to call anyone master. It is either her of deliberate choice (freaky), or an effect of the necklace.
Of course, I have been checking back every few months since I have discovered the game, and will continue to do so.
I do not wish to diminish the undeniable quality of this project, I just excersize my right to inform people that much like fusion energy, this is one of the cases where the wait is probably longer than most optimists would like to have people believe.
I wish you the best in general and regarding the project.
I see. Isn't GTA6 coming out this year though? I'm fairly certain the update is further away than that after the literal years we have waited without much to show for it. I'd be willing to bet money the update won't come out this year, unless you have some information I'm not aware of.
Not to shit on the dev though, but I have kinda given up all of my expectations of ever playing this update, let alone the finished game.
I don't feel like getting emotionally attached to this game is a good investment, but feel free to, especially if you are new here, we have all been there at one point.
If you really are convinced that you can maintain that level of integrity in a similar situation, then congrats, you are better than what most people can say about themselves.
I however tend to assume the opposite, and I think that is the more fitting mindset to have in this day and age.
Everybody loves to say this will never be them, until suddenly they are in their position. Very few actually have what it takes to resist corruption.
I'm generally not one to ever pay for any subscription based service other than power, water and internet, but who am I to tell people what to spend their money on. I'd much rather pay for a game when it's out, but I'm not oblivious to the fact that some of these projects would never even have been started if everything had to be funded that way.
I am glad that some people are careless enough to finance them in my stead, but after a certain point, you can really feel diminishing returns on "throwing a continous stream of money at people in order to motivate them to work".
The exact level of support for this specific project does kind of baffle me a bit, but it happened to find a good niche, delivered a quality product and somehow managed to keep the promise to deliver even more of said quality in suspended animation indefinitely.
It's kinda like the YanDev story, but here there is an actual quality product to look forward to and the person behind it is at least on the surface likable. Again, I don't blame them for taking their time, if you were paid a neat sum continously for doing not much apparent work, would you want it to stop? I sure wouldn't. Yearning for financial security is an integral part of the human condition after all.
To be fair, noone is obligated to give him any money. Just take a look at the update history and decide for yourself if this is something you are able/willing to support.
If you decided to do so, fine. If you decided not to, also fine. If you gave someone money without any consideration, then you probably can afford to do so, and or don't deserve to have that money in the first place.
If you did so persistently for a prolonged amount of time expecting things to change, I do not know what to tell you.
Maybe look around and see what's going on in the world. It's not anyone's job to tell you to stop giving them free money. If you were in his position, you probably wouldn't either.
Actually not a whole lot, can be done in an afternoon, few hours if you are doing absolutely nothing else. It actually speeds up quite a bit with every skill point, though it isn't perfect like I mentioned, so be careful what you pick. The xp requirements for fishing are quite rough, though maybe the second pond fares better, I haven't gotten around to checking it yet, but I imagine that is the reason It took way longer than the woodcutting. I wonder what the girls were doing in the literal in game months I spent grinding tho.
Not even, I'm still 2 updates behind, I lost my saves so I'm doing a bit of a slow paced replay, nice to see some of the redone parts that have been taking up development time recently in action. Meanwhile new updates keep releasing, so I will have a lot to look forward to when I catch up. Maxing the skilltree kinda happened on a whim, since I was curious what the skills actually look like, also I doubt many people have done it so I took it upon myself to provide some feedback.
The skill "tree" is pretty awful right now. The second fishing skill just literally nerfs your speed, and messes up your timing muscle memory at the same time. If you are looking to make the minigame easier and not more frustrating, I'd suggest widening the green arch instead. The logging reward calculation also needs some work imo. I believe it was the 4-5-2 (with 3 crits, 48 logs) configuration that regularly outperformed even the maxed 5-5-5 (granted, with only 2 crits, 47 logs) configuration. Please consider adjusting these in the future. I would also love to see something to actually spend all of this money on.
