Hey, you made it to Mark video! Not in the short list, but your game is visible at 20:47

Nice game!Platforming was quite great. The take on the music boxes is quite good, I really enjoyed it. I just wished the pixel effect was a bit ligther as it, if I had to say anything :)

Hello Great work in just a few days! I don’t see the loop that much however (well, I easily collected more than 5 lights, so I never saw any loop). I would have enjoyed to see more of the narrative, it seems the game’s about a man fighting to get back on his feet?

Hi Nice job! Not the most creative at first, but quite nice to add a new mechanic with each level.

Hi It’s cute to be playing with ants. Sadly, the game is hardly playable, maybe because it’s only a web export. I can’t read texts as they mostly appear outside the screen. I didn’t get if the point was to randomly check every ant passing through?

Thank you! We would have loved to put more jokes, or more routes. For example, with the sheep route, everyone was supposed to have a sheep head on the following run. But we’re not so great with Twine 😅 Art is all Yllogique!

Yes, some quotes aren’t the easiest to understand. The art is so cool thanks to Yllogique!

Thank you very much! Who wouldn’t like a cookie ? :D

Thank you very much! Kudo to Yllogique for the art :)

Thanks for your message! Happy you enjoyed it :)

Thank you for playing! We’re receiving very nice comments, that makes me really happy 🥰

Always go to strangers and quote random books to them, I’m sure nobody would mind that.

You can get more by looking for more interactions with (very little spoiler!) the second book. You’ll unlock something more, and you’ll be getting closer to the end.

We don’t plan on working on it. Although, maybe I’ll take the time to add some music later, I don’t know yet. I’m not so sure the “try again placing the sentences in the right order” would be very fun much longer. We have a nice ending, I think that’s already great!

Hi! Thank you for your nice comment! Obviously, the game wouldn’t be the same withou Yllogique’s art :) The book selection isn’t showing titles but cover descriptions, just so it isn’t obvious which books these are. The first one is the Little Prince, it was the first to come to mind when I started writing this idea. The second one is quite well known too, but the third might be harder to guess! (Also, people told me I used quotes from a film adaptation and not from the original book, never trust internet for quotes). I didn’t think of using art for the book covers, although, that might give the books a tad too easy?

I agree it would be better with music and a bit of sound effects. I simply didn’t think of it! First game I make, and first time with Twine :D

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing, and for your nice comment! So you don’t think it was quite a poor drawing ? 😂 I wrote this line before Yllogique drew the sheep!

Thank you for playing and for your comment! With a little more time, I would have loved to add jokes and easter eggs in the game. For example, when playing the “full sheep branch”, you were supposed to have a sheep head in the following loop. Wasn’t able to make it in time, but would have been fun, I hope! While writing, I did think it would be very cool to have voices. But we’re neither actors nor native english speaking, you’d have hated my french accent. Although, a little music, and some sound effects (pages of a book ?) would be a great addition, you’re absolutely right.

Thank you very much, that’s really nice! And very happy you liked the game.

Hi! Thank you for your nice comment! Just to be clear, there is a real end to the game, you have to look for a little more interactions ^^

Yeah!

Nice work, was fun to try!

Just a technical point, maybe allow to control the dice using the arrows, as it would easily allow for different keyboard layouts?

Sadly not able to play because I’m on Linux and using wine :/

Hi, Since it doesn’t load, am I supposed to evaluate the other project, or is it considered as a failed time limit?

Really cute!

Hello again!

Was wondering, I don’t have any money to give you, but maybe you’d be interested in a French translation of the game? I’m not a translator, but I should be fluent enough in English to offer a proper first translation in my native language.

(1 edit)

Hey ! That was quite cute and fun ! Thank you !

Hi ! Woah ! You seriously upped your game since Once in a Lifetime ! That’s impressive ! Keep up the good work !
