Thank you for playing! We’re receiving very nice comments, that makes me really happy 🥰
Always go to strangers and quote random books to them, I’m sure nobody would mind that.
You can get more by looking for more interactions with (very little spoiler!) the second book. You’ll unlock something more, and you’ll be getting closer to the end.
We don’t plan on working on it. Although, maybe I’ll take the time to add some music later, I don’t know yet. I’m not so sure the “try again placing the sentences in the right order” would be very fun much longer. We have a nice ending, I think that’s already great!
Hi! Thank you for your nice comment! Obviously, the game wouldn’t be the same withou Yllogique’s art :) The book selection isn’t showing titles but cover descriptions, just so it isn’t obvious which books these are. The first one is the Little Prince, it was the first to come to mind when I started writing this idea. The second one is quite well known too, but the third might be harder to guess! (Also, people told me I used quotes from a film adaptation and not from the original book, never trust internet for quotes). I didn’t think of using art for the book covers, although, that might give the books a tad too easy?
I agree it would be better with music and a bit of sound effects. I simply didn’t think of it! First game I make, and first time with Twine :D
Thank you for playing and for your comment! With a little more time, I would have loved to add jokes and easter eggs in the game. For example, when playing the “full sheep branch”, you were supposed to have a sheep head in the following loop. Wasn’t able to make it in time, but would have been fun, I hope! While writing, I did think it would be very cool to have voices. But we’re neither actors nor native english speaking, you’d have hated my french accent. Although, a little music, and some sound effects (pages of a book ?) would be a great addition, you’re absolutely right.
