Per default that is true, indeed I forgot to mention that I'm talking about a special case.

When you get bonus die through help or abilities you would just roll 1 dice instead of 2 keep the lowest. But when you get bonus die because of additional threats, you would have to roll 2 keep the lowest to generate one outcome and rate the bonus die seperately to allocate to the threats.

I really like your guide and have allready used it, but there is one thing that deeply irritates me; you mention in the introduction, that Blades + DC contains over 400 pages of rules, which is a misleading statement. On one hand DC shouldn't be added to the count, because it is a collection of alternatives, so there is no need to learn all of the rules in the core book AND DC. On the other hand this statement leads to the impression, that Blades is a massive book with countless rules and while Blades is not the lightest game, it is definitely on the lighter side. Neither the core book nor DC consist just of rules, but your introduction makes it seem like they do.

How do you all handle vice dens and other coin earning claims with Deep Cuts? I didn't notice until right now, that they haven't received an update and I would like to keep my diceless downtime diceless ^^

That's right, but the thing I've mentioned in my initial post is still missing:

"But there is one little thing missing; when rolling with 0 dice and adding bonus dice, only the bonus dice are rolled, instead of 2d6 pick the lowest + bonus dice."

I really don't want to bother you, but I will run a game for a new group soon and it would be great to have all roll options included ^^'

Any news on the topic?

Thanks for the quick response! I was really surprised by the changes to the sheet and was made aware of them by one of my players, after I did complain to them, that the sheets don't support Deep Cuts ^^'

Whoever did the Roll20 Deep Cuts implementation ... thank you very much! But there is one little thing missing; when rolling with 0 dice and adding bonus dice, only the bonus dice are rolled, instead of 2d6 pick the lowest + bonus dice.

Nice work! I have some questions:

1. Did you mention how assigning results with multiple threats works?

2. At multiple occasions you do mention how help from another crew member boils down to them spending 1 stress as requirement - isn't that the old way?

3. You talk about spending 2 stress to improve your roll - isn't that the old push mechanic?

4. Shouldn't struggling because of your ambitions be mentioned as XP trigger?

I was referring to NineRhys' question 'Will the rules changes be usable in FitD games?' Just found the post, my brain mixed what I did remember with my hopes and wishes ^^' I just misinterpreted your answer 'Yep! There's text to that effect in the next update of the PDF (coming soon).'

I don't want to ask to much, but wasn't there something about the DC moduls being adapted for S&V and BoB? Just saying ... would be really great. Like ... really really great ^^

Dear John,

I really like Deep Cuts, there is a lot of great stuff smoothing out a lot of the edges (pun intended) BitD had.

But I have one little request, or more of a question; why didn't the Hounds Vengeful get a rework?

Since I opened the book for the first time I was in love with your work. But Vengeful ... always bothered me.

Shouldn't the general XP triggers cover what is the descreption of that ability? Am I the only one thinking that it is weird to add a trait to your PCs personality by taking a special ability?

Of cource, I can homebrew it by myself, but after all that great modules in Deep Cuts I'm so curious why Vengeful hasn't been changed at all.

With the greatest respect.

How are Engagement Rolls impacted by the new rules? The desperate outcome can be converted pretty easily. Controlled position on the other hand does not require a roll anymore and the PCs can do their thing savely, but that does sound like the critical result from the core rules. Where is the difference between a 6 and multiple 6es while applying Deep Cuts? I suppose that a 6 is now a risky position, but with lower threat value. Or am I on the wrong way?

For how long does it last, when you decide to tough out harm? A scene, the whole score?

Any updates on the Roll20 sheets? ^^'

I just noticed that there are no checkboxes next to the contacts on the crew sheets. Is that intentional?

"Strange Methods: When you invent or craft a creation with arcane features, take +1 result level to your roll. You begin with one arcane design already known"

With the module it should be "... +1 Quality Level ...", instead of "... +1 result level to your roll.", doesn't it?

I know, only 3 days went by, but I'm so hyped. Can't wait to play the module on Roll20 with a new group (over the past 4 years I have run about 24 short campaigns - 5-6 sessions - as introduction for newcomers to Blades. I'm based in Germany, by the way)

Do you still get +Effect when pushing to activate a special ability, like in standard Blades, or is it push to activate and a second push when I want +Effect? It's an important difference, imho

There is a track in form of the XP Clocks, I would say. So, everytime the crew gets a new ability or does purchase an upgrade with coin, you would get the extra stash, at least that is the way I would interpret it

That would be great, thanks!

There's a little error on the Cult sheet; under the Chosen ability are the same actions listed as under the Dangerous ability of the Bravos

Great work John, but I'm not surprised that you cooked again ^^ I can't find enough words for how good this is. Will the new sheets be available on Roll20? Thanks for your creative energy.
